United Nations runs ad campaign saying it's discrimination not to have sex with transpeople

See here:
twitter.com/Journal_UN_ONU/status/968233238778073089 (in French)
twitter.com/ADS_Bund/status/969150422484123648 (in English, retweeted by the German Federal Anti-Discrimination Agency)
(and in other places too)

There are a whole bunch of other ads e.g., 'would you still want him on the Football team if he was gay' 'would you still support your son if he was gay' 'would you still eat his food if he had AIDS'

which all make sense, but for some reason a sexual relationship is only mandatory if a person identifies a trans.

In this case it's a photo of a man kissing a woman (with a strongly implied sexual context) however the exact same argument is the 'cotton ceiling' used by the vilest TRAs to say women should be obligated to have sex with them.

if she transitioned to live as a man you would still love her?

And would you be happy to be referred to as a gay man in a relationship with another gay man?

Even though you're not gay.

Heads exploding all over the place on this one. I think they forgot that words don't have meaning any more.

WeRiseUp · 02/03/2019 12:48

Or is the 'she' the one on the left who hasn't come out yet?

That actually made me lol, but it is serious. If 'trans' is actually a thing, how are you meant to read the 'she'? Are they 'she' now or in the future, or in the past? It is a total mind-pretzel headfuck.

Fairenuff · 02/03/2019 12:56

Or how about will you still want sex with her when you discover she has a penis?

Courday · 02/03/2019 13:00

I have been attracted to alot of straight women in my time.
Did I get all arsey about it and call them homophobic and start political campaigns to tell straight women they are bigots?
No. I respected their sexuality and left them alone.
Why do trans individuals feel such a level of entitlement they feel they can compel others to change their behaviour.
It is worse than gay conversion therapy.

ChickenonaMug · 02/03/2019 13:04

So on the UN's own 'zero discrimination day' the UN published a poster which denies the need or desire of a person to chose a partner based on their own sexual orientation and the other person's sex. Therefore implying that sexual orientation can and should be overridden. So they managed to discriminate against people with the protected characteristic of sexual orientation (whichever orientation that may be) on their own zero discrimination day. Do I have that right?

SardineQueenII · 02/03/2019 13:14

Nice one UNAIDS.

Note they also have decided that sex should not be included on the list of things that can cause people (women/girls) to be discriminated against.

bhekisisa.org/article/2018-12-07-read-scathing-report-on-sexual-harassment-bullying-abuse-of-power-at-unaids-metoo

"The leadership has a rhetoric for a harassment-free zone but do not push for it instead they are aware of sexist and sexualised remarks as if women were sexual objects."

Well, surprise.

As Ray Jessel once sang:

I met this girl, and, she's just great
This girl I just adore
The problem is: she has much more than I had bargained for

She's got that style
She's got that smile
She's got the walk
She's got the talk
She's got that zing, there's just one thing...

She's got a penis

She's got that flare
Know's what to wear
She's got that face
That girlish grace
She's got pizzazz
Too bad she has a penis

"Now, there's always some failure, always some flaw,"
Ain't that what they call Murphy's Law?
But male genitalia - that's where I draw the line
Besides...

Her's is bigger than mine

thatdamnwoman · 02/03/2019 15:15

I've just tried to find that transgender image/ poster/ reference on UNAIDS in order to use it for another messageboard and I've even downloaded the pdf that shows the other images (what if he were gay, what if she had AIDS and so on) but the trans one isn't there:

www.unaids.org/sites/default/files/media_asset/20180222_ZDD_brochure.pdf

So either it's been swiftly removed or it's come from some other source, perhaps. Any ideas?

QuietContraryMary · 02/03/2019 18:38

I wonder if someone had a word, internally, and they quietly binned it hoping no-one would notice, but not before it had been widely disseminated. And they didn't officially retract it

“Gender identity is no reason to discriminate?”

In a sexual relationship sense? Oh yes, that makes perfect sense. 🙄

So you date a man and it gets serious. You take him home and he gets his kit off... and he has boobs and a vagina. He has a penis - he bought it on amazon but it is in his pocket.

Woah the pony! You could get a visit from 5 police officers and a police horse if you say ‘sorry Fred you are really not my type (you might have mentioned this before)’?

Have they lost their minds?

icycoldlake · 02/03/2019 18:59

And what if you want a long term relationship which includes trying to have children in the conventional manner? People split up concerning different views on this issue.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 02/03/2019 19:01

It’s an absolute mind-Fekko to have a partner of the same sex when you aren’t gay!

BlackForestCake · 03/03/2019 09:24

I have said many times before that if you tell straight men they have some sort of obligation to sleep with people with cocks, they will laugh in your face. It is good this advert has come out, it'll make the backlash come sooner.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 03/03/2019 09:33

I look forward to telling any gay man that will listen that they must sleep with a female bodied person if they say they are male. It’s magic innit?
