It’s about pp changing their gender identity on C4 now

Couldn't bear to watch. So sad.

OhHolyJesus · 26/02/2019 21:36

Just seen the last one. Its quite ironic that the promo for a programme on being inside a Women's Refuge was on during the end titles. I do hope C4 wasn't taking the piss with that.

I'm watching episode three again, I fell asleep in it yesterday.

I'm very struck that the females transitioning seem very concerned about their breasts and their voices. The males transitioning seem to focus on clothes. Maybe it is designed that way - as we see them dress shopping etc.

I must admit I found Kevin telling the women in the committee on camera just felt quite strange. Surely private revelations like that shouldn't be done on camera.

No Cairo! What are you doing! There's nothing wrong with you!

overtheirishsea · 27/02/2019 13:35

Why does everything have to be blue just because you're now a 'man'?

HollowTalk · 27/02/2019 13:38

Marie's husband (episode 2) seemed to be completely unaware of how uncomfortable their friends were around him when he was dressed as a woman. I think he really expected their female friends to treat him like "one of the girls" and for the blokes to be flirty.

Did anyone read the terrible Cavan update where it turns out Alan Hawe had been wearing his wife's underwear?

overtheirishsea · 27/02/2019 13:49

Oh god this whole program is so so so wrong

overtheirishsea · 27/02/2019 13:50

I could not cope with my Dad growing boobs. I just couldn't

Have only watched the first programme so far (will catch up when it's raining and I have ironing to do) but with regard to the photos thing, I think that anyone who is trans has to realise that whilst they may wish to rewrite their history, it isn't fair to expect others to do the same. The best man at my wedding is now a transwoman and I'm buggered if I will take down my wedding photo with them in it because it is MY history (they won't be offended because we don't see them anymore due to the appalling way they treated their wife).
