The thread I wrote about attending Posie Parker's panel on gender identity and social media has attracted a lot of attention, and I thought it might be good to establish more of a dialogue. Ask me anything!

Also, to get this one out of the way: my babysitting rates are £15/hr, plus flights, and I'll provide a clean CRB check 😂

Shouldn't that be $15 an hour, not GBP?

I'm still curious about the reason behind wearing two pairs of knickers though.

Toorahtoorahaye · 29/01/2019 11:35

Liz, do you have any idea how ridiculous and offensive your views are on what it means to be a woman? Do you realise how hugely female biology affects us throughout our lives? I doubt the majority of women wordwide actually having to live and deal with their female biology would agree with you.

AmericanHousewifefan · 29/01/2019 11:35

The message I was trying to send was: the bats exist, they're for sale, this is what they look like. In the photo, I'm not brandishing it: I'm just holding it out for people to see.

^^ Really? Why?

WaitroseK it's called a hurl or hurley.

FloralBunting · 29/01/2019 11:35

Look, if it ends up as an abusive gunfight, then remove it. The women here are asking for the conversation. Please don't misrepresent us by shutting down a possible avenue for conversation presumptively, @MNHQ

DidIMissSomething · 29/01/2019 11:35

Please leave this up mumsnet

Poppyred85 · 29/01/2019 11:36

At the risk of my first deletion...
What do you think of autogynaephilia? It seems to be (as an observer of your twitter feed) that someone who poses with a baseball bat, in their underwear, while pretending they’re a woman fits the description of that fetish nicely. With a bit of misogyny thrown in for good measure.
As a point for information, women here don’t necessarily have a problem with male fetishes until you try and get us to unwillingly play along.

WonderWoman2019 · 29/01/2019 11:36

Yes MNHQ please don't delete this.
As they say, daylight is the best disinfectant.

TheQueef · 29/01/2019 11:36

Different bats Greenspots rounders bats are like short cricket bats, much less penis shaped.
Are you deleting becauseWaitrose made that outrageous claim about Welsh snooker? We all know she's joking Terry Griffiths has his bus pass now

FloralBunting · 29/01/2019 11:36

Lol, or even just a bunfight

Qcng · 29/01/2019 11:36

(Loving how GC feminists are begging for the TRA views to be given publicity, while they do everything to shut us up).

Bowlofbabelfish · 29/01/2019 11:37

The message I was trying to send was: the bats exist, they're for sale, this is what they look like. In the photo, I'm not brandishing it: I'm just holding it out for people to see.

So by that token, when I’m wearing my adult human female t shirt I’m just saying adult human females exist, and I’m just wearing the shirt for people to see? And that’s fine. I assume you can’t think that a T shirt is more violent than a baseball bat?

Qcng · 29/01/2019 11:38

I'm still curious about the reason behind wearing two pairs of knickers though

Package flattening?

Bluestitch · 29/01/2019 11:38

Can I ask what the obsession is with MN in trans activist circles? If we are just a few nasty women out of step with public opinion as I see claimed why worry? I see actual transphobia on male dominated sites but they are never mentioned. Why is that?

NotBadConsidering · 29/01/2019 11:38

There’s no point the thread staying up if the OP isn’t going to return as soon as the questions become too logical difficult.

nauticant · 29/01/2019 11:39

Like others said, please don't delete this @MNHQ.

Lock it, that would be fine, but it should stay. Let other people look at the OP's explanations and decide whether they are posting in good faith or not.

Bowlofbabelfish · 29/01/2019 11:39

I have on occasion worn pants under and over tights to keep the tights up (I’d run out of the tights that actually stay up and was only left with the type that relentlessly roll down leaving you hitching them up all bloody day...)

BoreOfWhabylon · 29/01/2019 11:40

@HebeMumsnet
I agree that Op is not posting in good faith. Could you perhaps just lock the thread?

I womder why OP felt the need to photograph the attendees.

CaptainKirksSpookyghost · 29/01/2019 11:40

(Loving how GC feminists are begging for the TRA views to be given publicity, while they do everything to shut us up).

Considering they've not returned it could be that they reported their own thread.

There’s no point the thread staying up if the OP isn’t going to return as soon as the questions become too logical difficult.

To be fair HQ may have banned them so they can't return.

FloralBunting · 29/01/2019 11:41

NotBad, maybe so, but that itself would be instructive and should remain a matter of record.

AmericanHousewifefan · 29/01/2019 11:41

Bowl:

So by that token, when I’m wearing my adult human female t shirt I’m just saying adult human females exist, and I’m just wearing the shirt for people to see? And that’s fine. I assume you can’t think that a T shirt is more violent than a baseball bat?

^^Exactlly this.

CaptainKirksSpookyghost · 29/01/2019 11:41

If the op is banned that a terrible thing to do when we are fighting for free speech.

iklboo · 29/01/2019 11:41

The message I was trying to send was: the bats exist, they're for sale, this is what they look like. In the photo, I'm not brandishing it: I'm just holding it

So do flowers, teddy bears, loaves of bread and packets of biscuits.

Toorahtoorahaye · 29/01/2019 11:42

I’m mighty impressed Liz is so clued up on UK vernacular such as CRB checks - do they have CRB checks in the US?

NotBadConsidering · 29/01/2019 11:43

Agreed, then we should be told if they’ve been banned so we aren’t waiting with baited breath for answers that can’t be given to questions that have been asked for a long time

Thingybob · 29/01/2019 11:43

No question from me but Thankyou for coming on here as although I may disagree with a lot of your thinking I'm genuinely interested in what you have to say
