Why do the British press hate people like me and my friends so much?

Mumsnet (or Momsnet? poster not sure) gets a special mention because although our posts might seem reasonable at first, they hide an underlying "hateful garbage" aimed at persuading "honest nice women."

For clarity, this MNetter does not wish any trans person out of existence. I do wish trans people happy lives free from discrimination in housing, employment, etc. I am not concerned about potential grandchildren.

Another child-free woman (adult human female) who posts in the FWR only because I have become infected by terfism and therefore resent you lot for never giving me grandchildren, which is literal bigoted biological violence.

The person Grenshen4px is a Korean American on Reddit, who in my humble opinion is totally messed up in the head, and why they are worried about UK media is beyond my comprehension.

Let's face it, most of us don't even have a problem with TW or sharing spaces with them - we're worried about predators abusing and exploiting the legal loopholes suggested new trans regs would open up. Just a bit of caution on that. That's all. No dying in fires.

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 14/01/2019 08:03

I agree with online

I do hate people with that visceral 'what can i throw at the telly' type hate but thats pretty much just a handful of politicions

(Ive been worried about fekko influence for a long time...and ive no idea why angry is nodding seriously! She is just as bad!)

Lots of love from a nice honest woman who thought that feminism chat was about how to be feminine!

Imagine my confusion 😳

Oi I’m a pussycat. I have a very nice almond tart recipe if anyone is interested...

AngryAttackKittens · 14/01/2019 08:12

And I'm an adorable kitten. Who could be scared of a kitten, even a very pissed off one?

(My lack of opposable thumbs provides an excellent excuse for my lack of inclination to bake.)

2019StandingforWomen · 14/01/2019 08:17

Another pesky woman with opinions here who doesn't hate anybody but is really concerned about the social contagion aspect and also obviously the possibility of predatory male taking advantage of self ID.

treaclesoda · 14/01/2019 08:18

I don't hate trans women, I don't wish them harm. I don't want them to be denied medical treatment or discriminated against at work.

But actually I do object to sharing women only spaces with them, no matter how genuinely they believe themselves to be women.

I want privacy and dignity when I'm getting undressed or in a hospital ward (although every time I've been in hospital it was a mixed ward anyway Hmm). I can't have that privacy and dignity if someone is stripping off beside me has a male body, no matter how sincerely he rejects that body.

And there is a cat link!!!!

See...see

Racecardriver · 14/01/2019 08:20

Because there is a large section of British society that remains sensible and free thinking?

I love gymnastics.

WH1SPERS · 14/01/2019 08:41

What's that? Been raped/assaulted/abused by men so are fearful of male bodied people? No! Thou art TERF!!!!!!

They don’t care about us being raped and assaulted because they live on a diet of porn so they think that men rape us because we are sexy and desirable. They want to be seen as sexy women too. They think it’s a compliment and deep down we want it as an affirmation of our womanhood.

They believe that sexual harassment and discrimination is that slight raised eyebrow they get or the sniggers behind their backs from kids. They think they know all about it and that have it a lot harder than us.

Zero understanding. Giving zero fucks.

AspieAndProud · 14/01/2019 09:05

I don’t hate religious people but I demand the right to criticise the oppression of women, the attempted ‘conversion’ of homosexuals, the abuse and sexual mutilation of children, bullshit taught as science, blasphemy laws, and the use of violence to promote an ideology.

I reserve the right to hate individuals within that religion on a case by case basis.

Badstyley · 14/01/2019 09:10

Grandchildren? I’m getting to the end of my babysitting duties now, if I never have to do it again that’s fine by me. Not all of us are maternal clucky hens. also I shave my head and don’t wear makeup, so what else am I supposed to talk about, the weather?

If some people can’t tell the difference between saying something they disagree with and hate that’s really not my look out. I’m female, I’m a lesbian, I’m disabled, I’ve had loads of hateful things said to me. I’m still here.

I know you really don’t want balls, but you can’t grow a pair of ovaries so you better work on what you’ve got.

Sorry not sorry.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 14/01/2019 09:11

My mum used to say that you should give everyone the benefit of the doubt (except Rolf Harris). And this was in the 1970s.

ILuvBirdsEye · 14/01/2019 09:17

No problem with TW - grown up rubbing shoulders with some.
No problem with trans kids
Not expecting grandchildren... dd has a disability
BIG problem with adults pushing an agenda of medicalised, sterilised lives on children
BIG problem with adults ignoring safeguarding
BIG problem with erasing the word WOMEN and include blokes who say abracadabra
BIG problem with the treatment of lesbians - the canaries in this mine

Katvonbatshitmermaid · 14/01/2019 09:19

All hail
All hail

Come ye to mothersnet and see the weak and frankly feeble minded lady brainers!
They have been taken in by the rational arguments of a Over Promoted Penguin and a Vicious Young Cat (and the rest.)

We MUST protect feeble lady brainers from this plague!

SHAME

SHAME

ILuvBirdsEye · 14/01/2019 09:26

I shall get back in the kitchen now and make some soup in shame...
And wait for fekko's almond tart recipe.

FloralBunting · 14/01/2019 09:32

Ah fer fecksake.

I try not to hate anyone.

Understanding that male and female are distinct biological categories isn't hate. It is quite likely to be an understanding found on a site aimed at parents, though. Can't think why.

MagicMix · 14/01/2019 09:32

treaclesoda Yep, me too. I don't care how nice a man is or how much he really really reckons he's a woman, I don't want him in my sex-segregated spaces. I could not care less about any gender norms he may want to transgress regarding appearance, behaviour, hobbies, anybody has my full support in that. I strongly disagree with the idea of innate gender identity but I disagree with all kinds of faith-based ideologies and am perfectly capable of being friends with people who hold them. Live and let live, right up to the point where someone wants to impose their beliefs on me.

But sex segregation is about sex, full stop.

LangCleg · 14/01/2019 09:53

Poor little brainwashed fools.

borntobequiet · 14/01/2019 10:01

AAK you should have been one of these

Why do the British press hate people like me and my friends so much?
DangermousesSidekick · 14/01/2019 10:17

Deal with the hatred and contempt men have for women - hatred expressed on a daily basis - and then we'll talk.
