Has anyone seen that video of the barmaid in Cardiff whose colleague "hugged" her so hard she passed out?

The "hug" was how I heard it portrayed from another news source. The video is one of the most disturbing things I have seen in a long time. The fact that the incident was downplayed by all the men involved including her bosses is very worrying. The fact the man in the video seems to be laughing as he lets go of her... It is very upsetting.

Disturbing and sickening to watch. What a vile dangerous beast he is.

Immollysmumma I am so, sorry for what Molly went through. She has the support of everyone on MN I'm sure.

Can I suggest you ask MN to remove your posts in case they jeopardise any future trial, however?

Best wishes to both you and Molly.

Hi Molly's Mum, So sorry about all the Molly has been through - and sorry that this violent individual isn't already behind bars. Several of us local women intend to contact the club to tell them that we won't be using it again, and to spread the word to others in the hope that they do the same. Best wishes to Molly. She was very courageous in taking this complaint forward. Must have been traumatising. Flowers

I am reporting your post Mollysmumma. If you really are her mum you could damage a prosecution by talking about the case here. And if you are not, well. All the best x

OlennasWimple · 10/12/2018 20:08

Yes, good idea to get them removed. Just click "report" at the top of the post and in the comments box ask for them to be deleted. Am sure MNHQ will oblige promptly

Flowers for Molly

I will never ever go there again! Just (sadly) sent this link to all my friends here too. Know they will feel the same. To Molly and her Mum, I am so so sorry to read this. There are absolutely NO words. This man is twisted. I hope he get what he deserves. All the best for Molly and her recovery. What a beautiful young woman.

The Cameo Club will regularly have women present who have been drinking and who will be vulnerable as a result. The managers have shown such disregard for safety, does this not go to their fitness to run licensed premises? I would not want my daughter drinking there. I would worry it is unsafe, given that management clearly don’t give a toss about women’s safety. Can their licence fitness be questioned with the licensing authority?

adultFemaleElf · 10/12/2018 20:35

Shocking footage, and shocking that her management could have viewed that and not been horrified. I mean we’ve all just seen it and are utterly shocked and we don’t even know the person who was assaulted. How could they look at that and think it was in any way ok? They should be shut down. And her attacker should be locked up.

scrivette · 10/12/2018 20:50

Absolutely shocking. It looks as if she starts to pass out quite quickly, before her handbag slides off. Then he just drops her at the end. How the management can't see this is a major issue is just unbelievable.

ChanandlerBongsNeighbour · 10/12/2018 21:00

This is one of the most disturbing things I have seen! Absolutely shocking that this happened right in the middle of a busy bar, is caught on film and still nothing has been done! There looks to be a witness in the video who clocks something isn't right too before she falls to the ground, in the background he points and starts frantically gesticulating to others at her. I hope they are able to give evidence. Poor poor girl.

ImNotKitten · 10/12/2018 21:03

Absolutely horrifying. He is smiling as she goes down. Nathan Webb is an evil, violent man.

JingleBellsSitDown · 10/12/2018 22:14

Just showed this to my dh who was horrified. I would love to hear from the police or the CPS as to why the chef hasn’t been prosecuted.

Absolutely dreadful, frightening case and well done to Molly for standing her ground. The management of the establishment should be ashamed. That psychopath should have been sacked the second that CCTV came to light.

Titsywoo · 10/12/2018 23:08

Sorry only just got back on mumsnet after a busy day. I'm shocked to see many people who live in the area didn't even know about it. It really has been swept under the carpet hasn't it? Very worrying that this man is out there and will likely do similar if not worse again. It really made me sick to my stomach watching that video.
