It's always wise to do some research on your opponent before plunging into a debate. It's also wise to have the right evidence for any assertions, up your sleeve. The narrative, and so called facts, about the victimisation of transgender people, have been blown out of the water. They are flawed and unsound. There needs to be more robust research by an organisation that is unbiased. We know this, but it's news to trans spokespeople. (That's why spokespeople should do the preparation for an interview).
Pro-women advocates have had to develop their case under pressure and challenge from all quarters. They've done the homework. Their narratives, research, evidence and statistics have been tested outside of an echo chamber. It shows.
You don't get into the ring with the likes of Bindel, Freedman, Stock et al, and hope to get by on your 'compassion' or on a out-dated belief that you are on the right side of history. Oh, Linda Riley, you were so typical of the woefully underprepared, unresearched compassionate ally that knows eff all.
