In defence of deadnaming

For ‘deadnaming’ is just a Newspeak word designed to demonise the telling of historical truths. Not satisfied with seeking to control contemporary discussion and attitudes, now trans activists and their allies (all institutions, in essence) want to control the past itself. History. No way. The past happened, it was true, and we should not allow that to be erased and forgotten just to make some people feel better about themselves.

Yet again spiked (which I never used to read) has written a good, hardhitting, sensible article on transactivism.

Most lesbians indeed don't like dick afaik, but I’m thinking on my feet here because there isn't the vast influx of dick you seem to think there is and I personally don't have strong feelings against it anyway, so I can't speak for the trans inclusive plus dick repulsed people who can help you on the politics of that one. My guess is they wouldn't care providing nobody else was telling them how they should react.

Maybe this is the crux of the matter, they can’t convince straight women who have experienced other dicks that their tiny offerings are acceptable so they’re going after lesbians hoping it will become an advantage. “Don’t worry love, it’s so insignificant you won’t even notice it’s there”

So, it's both a problem that no lesbian cares about, even though I and every woman I know who has slept with women and been open about it has come across males who need to be told their cock is not going to change our mind.

And its also something that would need a whole new vocab, just to be clear that this particular lesbian wasn't the kind of lesbian who also liked penis. Because that is obviously how language has evolved - lesbian has no specific definition so we need a new word.

Yes and in my case if most or indeed any of those people had been trans and if no natal woman had also never acted like a prick I might see the paramount relevance of this.

I can't remember what dating app it was, tinder? Who had to change all the subsections, because too many men were cluttering up the lesbian sections.

A friend of mine has had to virtually renounce online dating altogether, because of all the men.

She has shown me, quite literally, dozens and dozens of men identifying as women, claiming to be lesbians.

Most of whom put 'no trans', on their profile, ironically.

Funny thing is, plenty of other lesbian and bisexual women have experienced this.

@EmpressAdultHumanFemale (who is lesbian) was just saying on another thread how at a recent feminist event young lesbians were almost in tears about the pressure they get to include MTFs in their dating pool. I've read myself accounts by multiple women that they were verbally and even physically assaulted when they said they didn't want to.

people with penises are people with penises. it doesn't matter if they have a gold lame clutch bag, they're still male.

and if they're trying to pressure lesbians to sleep with them, then they're just another male who can't deal with being sexually rejected by lesbians and will look for any tactic to circumnavigate that rejection.
