I need this thread tonight. I've just been told it's 'not very nice' to think that transwomen aren't actual women. This while I'm booking a conference run by TedTalks which is advertised as being for the empowerment of women but in the blurb 'Cis' appears of course. So now I'm not going.

I seem to be hearing a lot of people nowadays who are convinced and will tell you emphatically that Britain is a Christian country. In the 80s / early 90s majority opinion was that it was secular. It's alarming how much influence the church has over early education too, and how much it's grown in recent years. Yet church attendance is still falling.
