Hope this works. We should all be able to watch the Westminster hall self ID debate today at 9.30 am live.

Not sure if you can go back and watch it later...

Oh god that was depressing.

I was sitting in the audience behind SwearyG (from man friday) who tweeted the whole thing, Dr Nic, Stephanie Davies Arai, Venice.

I don't know if all the sharp intakes of breath could be heard on the broadcast.

WringingOut · 21/11/2018 12:04

They are determined to push this through. I suspect most will avoid the vote, only a few will turn up for the vote, half a dozen will vote it through.

NothingOnTellyAgain · 21/11/2018 12:04

"For the first woman to say it woukd be the most stupid thing to go into a woman’s changing room claiming to be trans as it would “increase the sentence”."

What sentence?

No-one goes to prison for going into a womens changing room when they shouldn't.
I mean most men don't go to prison for rape FFS.
What a load of old bollocks.

The smug woke women could be the thing that fucks this all up?
How could a person say they don't know and don't care about a TW sexually assaulting women in prison? That they are AOK with male sex offenders beign put in prison with vulnerable women?

What sort of women wish rape on otherS? We know they are out there. What's gone wrong in their psyche?

Popchyk · 21/11/2018 12:05

This is interesting, though. Worth a read.

ComRes poll of 150 MPs last month.

MPs and Transgender Issues – October 2018

www.comresglobal.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/MPs-and-Transgender-Issues-October-2018-Tables.pdf

Only 9% of Conservative MPs think that people should be able to self-define their legal gender without a medical diagnosis.

Yes - That is what I think will happen.

NothingOnTellyAgain · 21/11/2018 12:07

"When we get a big spike in crimes by women everyone is going to pretend they don't know what caused it."

This has already happened >> newspapers had handwringing artivles about loads more women being convicted of sex offences.
The fact that some were rape (needs a penis) points to something a bit fishy going on.

Karen white committed most of the sex offences across the entire women's esatate for the year in 4 days (or something similar)

ProfessoressWoland · 21/11/2018 12:07

OldCrone Yup, that seems to be the root of the problem. The government framed the GRA consultation as something that only concerns transgender people, so now any objection makes you look anti trans, when it's actually about deciding whether or not we are willing and ready to give up sex segregation, because that is the real world consequence. It's not about whether or not MPs believe in TWAW.

WringingOut · 21/11/2018 12:08

His book looks worth a read.

It's insane how intimidated politicians are into hiding from this topic.

OldCrone · 21/11/2018 12:20

Dawn Butler accused David Davies of being insensitive. When pressed, she said this was because he said people were 'unfortunate' if they had gender dysphoria. She compared this to saying people were unfortunate if they were gay or black.

So is it reasonable to say that people who have a medical diagnosis of a condition are unfortunate to have that medical condition? Isn't it unfortunate if you think you are 'born in the wrong body'? Isn't that why we're supposed to have sympathy for trans people?

The comparison with being gay or being black is not the right comparison to make. Wouldn't a more appropriate comparison be with someone who has a disability or a medical condition, since sometimes for such people special accommodations have to be made because of their disability or condition? And would it be wrong to say that they are 'unfortunate' to have that condition?

senua · 21/11/2018 12:20

What we need is a list of scenarios that could happen if self Id goes through eg @Datun* above. This will cut through the nice language.*
Is there a list of what has happened, from countries that have already taken up self-ID?
One of the females mentioned countries that have taken up self-ID but left Canada off the list.

WringingOut · 21/11/2018 12:20

It's insane how intimidated politicians are into hiding from this topic.

If it goes through the houses and becomes actual law - that lies, factually incorrect legal historical documents and compelled speech are to be forced upon the nation - then we are finished as a democracy.

R0wantrees · 21/11/2018 12:21

I wonder when James Kirkup's next article will come out.

OldCrone · 21/11/2018 12:26

Isn't that why we're supposed to have sympathy for trans people?

Sorry, I didn't express that very well. The line is that transgender people all deserve our sympathy because they have gender dysphoria. And I am sympathetic towards people who have this condition. But apparently they are not 'unfortunate' to have this condition. There doesn't seem to be any logic here.

KinCat · 21/11/2018 12:27

candidpeel I didn't notice the audience reaction much. Most people there were against self-id I take it?

WringingOut · 21/11/2018 12:30

It's not about trans people, it's about controlling the nation, grooming us through an education system that created narcissistic sheep with a good memory and recall to bully the nation. It's about reducing the autistic genes and diverse thought or opinion so only the establishment can conquer.

WringingOut · 21/11/2018 12:34

I am very upset, angry and laughing at the establishment.

They are trying to stop humans from progressing, they want robots and sheep people to service them.

The AI will only get them so far.

Humans got this far with Neuro diversity - AI bullying and lies isn't going to save them. Grin

WringingOut · 21/11/2018 12:39

Didn't AI get too good at one point? Idiotic psychopaths and narcissists, will be back to rubbing two sticks together in caves.

Datun · 21/11/2018 12:46

If you are going to allow every predator/paedophile in the country to self ID and access women/girls, you are absolutely going to make 'transgender' synonymous with those people. These fools are throwing transgender people under the bus along with women.

Datun · 21/11/2018 12:47

And men with genuine gender dysphoria all know it. They predicted it.

R0wantrees · 21/11/2018 12:50

Hundreds of women from all over the country have been invited by their MP to Westminster today to mark the centenary of the Parliament (Qualification of Women) Act passed on 21 November 1918 which gave all women over the age of 21 the right to run for political office for the first time.

You could write this.

R0wantrees · 21/11/2018 12:51

Apologies, meant to say you couldn't write this!

ProfessoressWoland · 21/11/2018 12:53

No doubt about it, Datun.
Dawn Butler and other cheerleader MPs seem to be very selective about which transgender people they will listen to.

littlbrowndog · 21/11/2018 12:55

Hope these invited women get sad faces and special hushed tones

WringingOut · 21/11/2018 12:57

I hope the handmaids are put up on YouTube, I hope they are haunted by their special hushed tones and sad faces.
