I am in the middle of a pile on by TRA's on Twitter.

I am not comfortable sharing my anonymous Twitter username on even here yet, but I wanted to ask, when trying to explain your viewpoint on feminism, and you become the subject of a pile on, what do you do?

I am stuck between not giving up, but the more I reply, the more of them pile on.

Help.

I've seen some very good exchanges between GCs and some naive, ill-informed young women. Basically, they are nice people and worth a few interactions.

Hi LurkingLizzy sadly I think your nakedly transparent attempt at gaining screenshots has failed but I’ll give you a B for effort as you continue to try and goad.

I thought I would never say this , after being out as a lesbian for many decades ,part of the original Gay Liberation front ,worked on gay switchboards,and castigated on many threads for defending Trans rights, both me and my G/F are now no longer going along with the Trans narritive

I visited am out of town gay centre for a meeting this week , and was treated like a stranger in my own country ,the place was overrun with Trans people and others ie straight men claiming to be Trans ,making me and the other lesbian I was with ,feel very intimidated just whilst trying to find the room the meeting was in

we were jostled and cajoled and called a TERF

I'm also in the middle of a twitter pile on. I use a different name on twitter. It's very wearying. I amuse myself by looking to see who has liked tra posts. Majority is a bunch of woke students, mostly quite young, a disappointing large amount of them girls. The odd older male transitioner. I would walk away, because it's tedious, but in amongst all the wokeness, there are a bunch of people liking my posts, and some of them are starting to tentatively comment. Got to keep on, much as I want to block, as protecting children from being forcefed gender claptrap is very important to me.

This is a good thread. I get piled on by TRAs on Twitter, and have often taken it quite personally. I think about my favourite well-informed GC Mumsnetters and think: ‘I bet this doesn’t happen to them’. It makes me feel like I’m bad at debate.

So, although it’s shit, it’s also reassuring that others get the same treatment.

Some great advice here; I need to spend more time ignoring and blocking rather than engaging, as engaging just makes me anxious and spend days overthinking it.

I dont take it personally, I try to keep it factual. I do hope some of the young girls watching the conversation are perhaps seeing both sides of the scenario.

It does feel relentless at times.
