Crossdressers included in the definition of Transgender

I wanted to discuss this, as it this definistion has been proposed by both Scottish Trans Alliance and LGBT Youth Scotland in their their submissions to the UK Women and Equalities commission.

The Scottish Trans Alliance submission says:

"We recommend the terms transgender people and trans people be used as equivalent inclusive umbrella terms for anyone whose gender identity (including their gender expression) does not fully correspond with the sex they were assigned at birth. This is inclusive of:

-Trans women – people assigned male at birth but who identity as women
-Trans men – people assigned female at birth but who identify as men
-Non-binary people – people who do not identify solely as men or solely as women. Instead their gender identity is between or beyond the man/woman binary or they have no gender. (This is an umbrella term inclusive of other terms such as gender-fluid, gender-queer, non-gendered, agender.)

  • Cross-dressing people – people whose gender expression includes dressing in clothing which does not fully correspond with the sex they were assigned at birth but otherwise identify with their assigned sex.

The LGBT Youth Scotland concurs with this definition.

Furthermore, James Morton of the Scottish Trans Alliance was the person responsible for changing the definition of 'woman' to include transwomen in Scottish Law. So legally, cross dressing males who "otherwise identify with their assigned sex" would be legally women in Scotland.

I am completely bewildered that cross dressing aspect has not been picked up by politicians/press.

I am particulary keen to hear from the woke crew. How the fuck can you defend this shit?

Yeah, fetishes are also covered.

WrongKindOfFace · 21/10/2018 12:37

So presumably I’m a man because I’m wearing oh’s hoodie? I thought I was just a bit chilly, but turns out I’m trans.

TinyRick · 21/10/2018 12:39

Fetishes and kinks are sooo 2018, darling.

Hmm
Stilettosandan0venglove · 21/10/2018 12:39

A cross dressing male who "otherwise identifies with their assigned sex" - so, a man in a dress?

breastfeedingclownfish · 21/10/2018 12:40

From that thread - the OP raises good questions re Scottish Trans Alliance.

"Because guess who funds the Scottish Trans Alliance? The Scottish Government. It gives 125k a year, more than £100k of which goes on salaries. Last year, the alliance spent £125,800. Equality Network gets all but about £6k of its £450k budget from the Scottish Government. It is solely dependent on SCottish Govt - it doesn’t raise money from donations or sponsors or grants. It just gets money from politicians.

What the hell is this about? Why is the Scottish Governent funding a “charity” that lobbies the Scottish Parliament for trans agenda? Why is it funding a charity that lobbies the UK Parliament about laws that don’t apply in Scotland? Trans alliance really did a number on Maria Miller’s mob (the report is full of glowing references to them.). How many MPs on that committee knew the alliance is a Scottish Government (SNP?) sock puppet? And if MPs didn’t know, how is anyone else supposed to know?"

As far as I can tell, this organisation is purely a lobby org. The Scot Gov is the sole funder. They lobbied the Scottish Government to change the definition of the word women to include men. This was passed by a committee of 6 people.

This is why people are worried, anyone falls under the transumbrella.

Galvantula · 21/10/2018 12:43

Sottish Trans Alliance do presentations to private companies too. There was one at a recent 'inclusivity' week here. They shared all about their umbrella and how trans people must always have access to the facilities of their choosing. The woke office dudes looked entranced in the video and all got excited on the intranet later.

breastfeedingclownfish · 21/10/2018 12:47

Stilettos

Yes, and even more worryingly, LGBT Youth Scotland supports this definition. They go into schools and 'teach' primary and secondary pupils about transgender people, which therefore includes crossdressers!

They are also funded by the Scottish Government. They are also a lobby group. The staff member who sits on these committees title is "Senior Programmes and Influencing Manager " This shit is in plain sight.

As I do keep saying, cross dressing is the most common paraphilia among sex offenders, regardless of identification:

TeaForDad · 21/10/2018 12:55

Woohoo sounds like I'm transgender then As I sometimes wear pink.
No one oppress me or it's a hate crime cheers

senua · 21/10/2018 12:56

How the fuck can you defend this shit?

I agree with putting transgender and crossdressers in the same category. I don't see a great deal of difference between them.

The trans community have been clever with linguistics. Most people think that 'trans' is short for transsexual'. They don't realise that most transgenders do not change sex.
We really need to disentangle sex and gender in the public's mind.

The Government's key facts linked with the consultation have 4902 with Certificates meaning the estimate of 5000 for the previous act was almost spot on.

Their current estimate of numbers who would take advantage of a reformed act are between 200,000-500,000. So a lot more than 'tidying up'.

The Stonewall definition of trans is:

"Trans people may describe themselves using one or more of a wide variety of terms, including (but not limited to) transgender, transsexual, gender-queer (GQ), gender-fluid, non-binary, gender-variant, crossdresser, genderless, agender, nongender, third gender, two-spirit, bi-gender, trans man, trans woman, trans masculine, trans feminine and neutrois."

breastfeedingclownfish · 21/10/2018 13:05

Yes, but it's just 'administrative' needmoresleep. That's what self id is apparently. Cross dressing males legally become women and access women's spaces.

There are a lot of spaces in Hell being reserved for the fuckers who have pushed this through. And James Morton is right at the front of that queue.

Stonewall goes even further.

Crossdressers included in the definition of Transgender
Charliethefeminist · 21/10/2018 13:23

This has happened in Canada with a bill cementing in law gender identity or gender expression. Women tried in a last ditch effort to get that changed to 'gender identity and gender expression'. It was rejected. So in Canada you don't even have to 'identify' as a woman - you just have to wear dresses and make up. Literally, it's just clothes.

Bowlofbabelfish · 21/10/2018 13:38

If the baby barfs on my t shirt and I nab one of DHs out of the laundry, am I a cross dresser?

PositivelyPERF · 21/10/2018 13:42

So basically we’re ending up with a society consisting of MEN and everybody else. FFS!

SunsetBeetch · 21/10/2018 13:45

Omg are you KINK SHAMING, TinyRick??

breastfeedingclownfish · 21/10/2018 13:52

I am so fucking angry about this. Fucking cross dressers included in the definition of transwoman and (therefore according to the transcult) woman.

And these changes heavily pushed by WOMEN. Biologicial women who lobby governments to for policies that will repress women's rights and freedoms.

Stephen Whittle
James Morton
Cara Spence (LGBT Youth Scotland).

It's really, really shocking.

Arrivederci · 21/10/2018 13:55

So next time I go out in my men's Adidas trainers with no makeup and no bra, and the queue for the women's toilets is too long, I can go to the men's and no can challenge me!

Arrivederci · 21/10/2018 13:56

The fact that this could all be protected by law is utterly ridiculous. And don't you dare question them, or else you're a bigot!

breastfeedingclownfish · 21/10/2018 14:00

It IS the law now in Scotland. By stealth

scottish-women.com/2018/09/16/scottish-bill-confirms-transwomen-are-women/

This was the work of James Morton too. A transman and biological woman.
