I think many vulnerable people, especially children and young people in the online transgender community are at increased risk.

Those who have, in good faith, signed up to mass block tools have had a constant stream of misinformation and unchallenged allegations suggesting that 'terfs', mumsnet members etc want to 'eradicate, doxx, carry baseball bats and encourage the suicide' of people who identify as transgender.

In many cases these lies have been perpetuated by representatives from political parties and charities who purport to support and advance 'trans rights'.

Samaritans guidance about discussing suicide is well-established.

It is really important.

Responsible discussion is vital not just by media but by every adult, charity and organisation who has influence on people who are vulnerable.

I know we need to keep talking to people, especially about the GRA, but their side are doing a fantastic job, on a daily basis over the last few months, of exposing just exactly what they are and how they operate. All the crowd funding we could do in the world couldn't have paid for the kind of publicity they are bringing upon themselves.

Its concerned me for a long time the impact of the tweets by some twitter TRAs. The nature of Twitter being that they are bounced about and create an impression. Its really concerning the roles that some accounts which would be seen as having credibility have been playing.

Whilst those who are blocked can come out and view contentious tweets, its impossible to engage in any meaningful way and challenge the untruths, allegations and smears. So the narrative is perpetuated, absorbed and fears are heightened.

Its so irresponsible.
