Fair Play for Women has simply disappeared off the internet.

Oh no, I was wondering if that would happen.

They're all over Twitter with an easy-fill-in-form for the consultation today.

So my guess would be Internet terrorism. Someone has probably attacked it with zillions of automated hits or something.

Based on this and comments on another thread it's probably been wiped from a DNS server (the internet's "address book").

My knowledge of DNS is somewhat fuzzy but I am guessing that some people's computers are using an old, cached DNS entry and as such, their browsers can still "look up" the sites address.

It's not working for me and my location is not UK.

DDOS means denial of service. Its when Internet wronguns hijack a server and send fake requests to access a page.

Because the page is overloaded with requests it brings the website down. They are normally short term.
