Since when did trans activists start caring about women's services anyway?
They're STILL trying to shut down Vancouver Rape Relief.
They spent years trying to get rid of Michfest.
Their campaigning against any female only space has meant the end of who knows how many feminist groups, grassroots women's therapy/healing groups, womens social groups, women's festivals, and any specifically lesbian spaces.
Trans activists are happy to threaten that any womens shelter that won't take them as volunteers staff or residents should lose its funding and be forced to close. They've sneakily and purposely engineered a situation where most of these services feel forced to let males in or lose funding.
During this time of austerity they've been happy to gobble up precious funding (while women's services and LGB's struggle) then spend it on lobbying to push through changes in orgs all over the country that go against both the letter and spirit of the law, and violate the safety and privacy of women and girls.
If a crisis line or refuge said they didn't accept trans males Adrian Harrop and chums would happily and vociferously campaign for them to be closed, for staff and volunteers to be sacked. They don't give a shit about those services and they never have.
