This is all very new to me, I didn’t know what FPFW was. I do not consider myself a feminist, I’m just me with my opinions. But I don’t understand why people are saying this is against trans people - this advert is very good and has pointed out the truth - that if ANY man can make this choice of course it is dangerous for women!! Some horrible lecherous smarmy straight bloke could use this to access women’s areas to commit offences. What the hell has that got to do with trans people??? Of course trans people have their rights, but women are entitled to their rights too - one shouldn’t trump the other! This may offend but if trans people can’t see that view point then they have just proven that they are not women and could never understand the world from a women’s point of view.
I think the world is going topsy turvey and I’m confused about all the different choices people can choose to be these days - and the poor kids who are growing up and frightened what to say in case of offending the wrong people (unintentionally!) I despair 😩

A woman very close to me has facebooked it calling it hate speech and saying all protected characteristics should be covered by the same legislation as race and religious hatred laws. Presumably that would include the protected characteristic of sex then?

I'm glad of the publicity, just went on the FPFW website and clicked the link to complete the consultation, and made a donation too. It was Harrop's tweets and the #girlslikeus hashtag that tipped me over the edge in the end.
