IKeepFlouncing · 13/10/2018 08:39

Ok. Sorted

FekkoTheLawyer · 13/10/2018 08:39

😁

FekkoTheLawyer · 13/10/2018 08:46

Is it just me or my teeny tiny screen - is it mostly just the lads objecting? There's one poster with scary eyes who seems to be summoned to these tweets as if by magic.

PerverseConverse · 13/10/2018 08:53

Morning all, I don't do twitter but do look at links to there so please could someone direct me to a good one on this this morning? Or on Posie's projector awesomeness? Thanks Smile

FekkoTheLawyer · 13/10/2018 08:58

If you look for Skint London there's a couple of the projection ones on there. @skintlondon. you can pick up the trail from there!

oooompa · 13/10/2018 09:07

It wasn't long before TERF got thrown around.

I'm starting to think the definition of TERF IS:

A term used by a TRA when they have nothing intelligent to say.

FekkoTheLawyer · 13/10/2018 09:17

Do they ever? The images of the fake periods (yes we wimmin just drip into the bath) and girls cutting themselves to bleed for the mxn made me boak.

PerverseConverse · 13/10/2018 09:24

Apparently terfs put their comfort above the feelings of others. I think what that tweeter (is that the right term??) who freely admits they are mentally messed up, means, is that women, and some men, are putting the SAFETY of women and girls above the feelings of some men. And she, as a woman, sees a problem with this. As a hcp I recommend she accesses more therapy to work through why she believes men's feelings are more important than the safety of females. Twitter seems to be full of narcissistic navel gazers from what I've seen.

FekkoTheLawyer · 13/10/2018 09:27

Indeed. Speaking to real people usually cheers me up. (no offence, you lot!)

FekkoTheLawyer · 13/10/2018 10:02

@skintlondon

Aw you guys, you guys! I luffs you💞

PersonaNonGarter · 13/10/2018 10:03

I want to donate more. More. More.

This is brilliant

arranfan · 13/10/2018 11:28

That fake period thing - is this the C21 outcome of the Twilight generation?

Lots of wee girls with vampire-related fantasies? Because male vampires always seems to have lots of devoted women followers.

All longing to feed a need by willingly donating some blood.

If were were the purists of that, "Just think how many villages that Metro Ad could have funded ilk":

Just think how many babies would be saved if they donated the blood for that rather than political statements like fake periods.

Just think how many surgeries the NHS cancels for lack of appropriate blood groups on stand-by.

Etc. You catch my drift? :)

CuriousaboutSamphire · 13/10/2018 12:24

The "send an email to the Metro" has been deleted for breaking guidelines. Not sure which ones but it is possible that asking people to contact A N Other organisation is the issue. I'm off to the T+Cs

So maybe stop with the twitter requests, just in case!

traceyracer · 13/10/2018 14:26

saw this on twitter

CaptainKirkssparetupee · 13/10/2018 14:30

This is pink news, they made out The national Autistic society got rid of their links to mermaids because of mumsnet, rather than their dodgy as fuck links to Dr Helen Webberly and her medical experiments on autistic children.

R0wantrees · 13/10/2018 14:34

Pink News don't seem to have much concern for the truth.
They churn out a great deal of anti-women propaganda.

R0wantrees · 13/10/2018 14:36

This is pink news, they made out The national Autistic society got rid of their links to mermaids because of mumsnet, rather than their dodgy as fuck links to Dr Helen Webberly and her medical experiments on autistic children.

So Mumsnet helped to have links to a convicted GP's business removed from a charity's website which supports vulnerable children and their families? That seems like a good thing.

CaptainKirkssparetupee · 13/10/2018 14:37

No it's not, it's a transphobic attack, apparently.

I don't get it either, any other group would be distancing themselves from things like this, not defending it.

MsBeaujangles · 13/10/2018 14:41

Tracey I saw that article too. It is really unpalatable.
Having followed FPFW for some time, the tweets don't seem to reflect their usual views/approach. I have always found them to be balanced and considered.
If those are genuine tweets, I like to think that they were not actually relishing the thought of trans people being harmed. However, if genuine I think they were very misguided, ill considered and also very out of character for the organisation.

R0wantrees · 13/10/2018 14:41

PN is not a reliable source.

It has twisted, manipulated, smeared women for many months.

FekkoTheLawyer · 13/10/2018 14:46

They've noticed us...
