Trustpilot have removed all negative comments re Ocado

BrisaOtonal · 10/10/2018 11:29

I just received an email from Trustpilot saying my review of Ocado breeches their rules. They said that I can add to it to make my review more about their service.

I then looked on Trustpilot and they have blocked out ALL reviews done a few weeks back about Ocado's public faux pas. They have however left reviews by people supporting Ocado e.g. thanks for being inclusive which also have nothing to do with the companies service, which is the reason for removing my post. I have sent Trustpilot an email asking them if Ocado has contacted them to have the remarks removed.

Anyone else had the email?

If they remove reviews for mentioning company values it needs to be a blanket rule.

If trust pilot hit the news for removing only negative comments about a specific subject and leaving positive ones, their brand is mud.

Are they on twitter?

BrisaOtonal · 10/10/2018 11:44

Yes they are on Twitter.
Here is the link. There are a few recent reviews of Ocado but they have been posted in the past 4 or 5 hours. Scroll down and you will see the deleted comments.

Has Trustpilot been leaned on?

There are lots of comments on there by women saying things like "great ethical views" which are left but all other comments completely blanked out.

The media need to get to the bottom of this?

I got that email. Clearly one cannot trust trustpilot.

rightreckoner · 10/10/2018 11:51

There's a positive comment still on there about their inclusive values from Tara Hewitt fgs.

PositivelyPERF · 10/10/2018 11:51

Wow! Just goes to show they were telling lies to their customers, when they said that the anti female post from them, was a mistake. All those customers that were sent pms were lied to. They are then telling further lies, when they say that customers comments are being deleted because they break the rules, while keeping the positive ones that break rules.

AbsintheFriends · 10/10/2018 11:54

I had the email, so added a bit about customer service to my initial point about the billboard. Completely truthfully - the company's response to complaints was pitiful. Review has been reinstated.

Doesn't it, though?

PurdysChocolate · 10/10/2018 11:56

It's bad that they are removing reviews, and worse that they are leaving positive ones that break the same "rules."

Ocado cutomers have genuinely stopped using Ocado for the reasons in those reviews, they should stand.

Mammysin · 10/10/2018 11:56

I added more to my original comment and it should be back up shortly.

BrisaOtonal · 10/10/2018 11:57

I have altered mine too and am waiting to see if it is reinstated. If you get the email, add bits on to keep it there.

Funny how they initially got past the moderator and now, weeks later they are taken down. They have been leaned on by someone.

Obviously I ticked the NO box, when asked if I trust Trustpilot reviews. Are they taking the piss?

ginghamstarfish · 10/10/2018 12:01

I had the email. It said Ocado had requested it to be removed ...

Trinity333 · 10/10/2018 12:08

legal.trustpilot.com/user-guidelines If the GC reviews have been taken down then so should the TRAs reviews.

5.2. The content of your review appears to be solely concerned with ethical, political, and/or value laden opinion, as opposed to a service experience.

Not sure why the pro trans reviews are still up then.

heatherscot · 10/10/2018 12:10

Sorry but what was the Ocado thing to begin with...?

ginghamstarfish · 10/10/2018 12:11

I have now submitted another review, which also mentions their bad service and the fact that they are having negative reviews removed. Let's see how long it takes for this one to be deleted!

Ereshkigal · 10/10/2018 12:15

Report the TRA reviews. Quote their rules.

DisrespectfulAdultFemale · 10/10/2018 12:26

There goes my trust in TrustPilot.

LangCleg · 10/10/2018 12:29

Not sure why the pro trans reviews are still up then.

Because GC feminists haven't organised a mass reporting campaign about them.

BrisaOtonal · 10/10/2018 12:53

This has really got my back up. I am even thinking of no longer using certain online companies who pop an Ocado flyer into my orders. I resent the recycling put upon me and I do not want to spend money in companies that enable Ocados massive profits.

OP posts:
ILuvBirdsEye · 10/10/2018 13:17

Wow! This is terrible

Redkeyboard · 10/10/2018 13:24

Anyone who has an email from Trust Pilot saying their review was taken down because Ocado asked it to be, I would contact someone like Lucy Bannerman or Andrew Gilligan and alert them. Particularly if reviews with the same issue but positive from TRAs are still up.

Trust Pilot is useless as a service if it selectively takes down negative reviews when asked to by the company the review is about!
