Trustpilot have removed all negative comments re Ocado

BrisaOtonal · 10/10/2018 11:29

I just received an email from Trustpilot saying my review of Ocado breeches their rules. They said that I can add to it to make my review more about their service.

I then looked on Trustpilot and they have blocked out ALL reviews done a few weeks back about Ocado's public faux pas. They have however left reviews by people supporting Ocado e.g. thanks for being inclusive which also have nothing to do with the companies service, which is the reason for removing my post. I have sent Trustpilot an email asking them if Ocado has contacted them to have the remarks removed.

Anyone else had the email?

That's insane. Don't they realise who buys stuff?

And what's all this about not disagreeing with a company because of their ethics?

Millions of people only work with ethical companies.

They are being leaned on, in order to stop women having a say.

Their own, personal ethics are in the toilet.

BrisaOtonal · 10/10/2018 13:35

Yes you can Redkey. I am waiting their response to me before I review them.

Thanks Brisa. If they have removed my review about Ocado’s service and not removed positive reviews discussing the same issue I will giving my opinions on that too.

MistressDeeCee · 10/10/2018 13:38

Publicise what they've done on Twitter then.

FekkoTheLawyer · 10/10/2018 13:39

I have had a few emails (a flurry) that have said they are asking a reviewer to resubmit or moderate their language.

R0wantrees · 10/10/2018 16:09

so Trust Pilot can't be trusted? Hmm

FekkoTheLawyer · 10/10/2018 16:25

I send them a cut and paste of reviews that contained hate speech and non reviews (ocado are really good, 5 stars).

Definitelygoingtodebate · 10/10/2018 16:42

Blimey, that is annoying. By a strange coincidence so were the two total delivery failures and the incident where ocado delivered just three items (all in the last 3 months). I hadn't been motivated to complain about this until now....

GulagsMyArse · 10/10/2018 16:51

My review is down. Because my review is not about service.

The very first thing I say is that I’m still waiting for an email response from them. FFS that is about their service and they never did contact me.

DisrespectfulAdultFemale · 10/10/2018 17:07

I emailed Ocado today to remind them that they emailed me on 27 September to say that I would hear from a member of management "shortly" but I have yet to have a response. I also reminded them that I asked for all of the information they hold on me.

I fully intend to continue this correspondence until I get a satisfactory response.

NothingOnTellyAgain · 10/10/2018 17:08

Oh WOW yes they have pulled mine too (what is wrong with saying that as a female person I don't want to give money to misogynists? this is perfectly valid and other women should be aware before they use them) and yet totally non service related reviews saying how great it is that there is no descriptor for the half of the worlds population that share the characteristic of female biology are still up.

Well FUCK YOU trust pilot and ocado as well.

NothingOnTellyAgain · 10/10/2018 17:12

There was an advert on TV while I was typing that for "sponsor a little girl".

What does little girl mean though? Under the new rules, any child. And, in societies where girls are considered low value, money for children will likely end up with boys.

Ocado and Trust Pilot support the philosophy that has these end points.

They would also support the sort of poeple who, thinking that when the charity says "little girl" they might mean "child with a female reprodctive system" and harrangue them to change or close the campaign.

This is also not a positive outcome.

Hello Ocado & Trust Pilot, why do you want to remove the ability for half the populaiton of the world to describe themselves as a group and be able to raise awareness of issues faced and discrimination and so on?

What is in it for you?

Cookies from some TRAs who will be spending fuck all at ocado?

QueenYnci · 10/10/2018 17:21

I got the same email. I've just added some specifics of Ocado's 'customer service' to the end of my review. They really aren't coming out of this well.

You can update your review. So I have. Last time I used them was woeful and their response lacklustre.

LurkingWaspi · 10/10/2018 20:30

Blimey, I was posting early this morning on the Ocado thread about this, sorry just caught up with you all here.

Mine (Ocado review) was complained about yesterday, its been up for weeks. I've been a member of Trustpilot for years.

Apparently, I've "violated" guidelines and it's been taken down following a complaint from their Compliance team yesterday.

I've re submitted it, its been awaiting moderation since this morning.

They seem to have accepted a positive review on another organisation however.

Do you think we could review FPFW merchandise on there?
Just a thought Grin

Labradoodliedoodoo · 11/10/2018 00:27

The only appropriate way to remove the reviews is to remove all reviews from x date to x date. Inclidkng positive ones

enrichedatthegulags · 11/10/2018 01:15

I updated mine with info about things I actually don't like about Ocado. But they took it down again. 3 times.
Just seems like They'll keep taking them down.
I used to trust trust pilot!

IKeepFlouncing · 11/10/2018 01:40

Just seen they are investigating mine to see if in keeping with guidelines, obviously been reported.

Hey trust pilot looks like it’s a bye bye from me as someone who uses the site when buying from companies also 🖕🏻 Won’t be using site anymore to review companies. I had just signed up to review.

Ocado yep it ain’t never gana happen

IKeepFlouncing · 11/10/2018 01:41

*hadn't

BrisaOtonal · 11/10/2018 08:54

I've had my review reinstated after amending it to add my opinion on their mountains of plastic and poor quality alongside my original comments. They have re-instated it and I got a very long email from CustS to tell me why they removed it. Basically, someone reported it for breeching guidelines. Well, that works both ways.

I don't think Trustpilot have joined the dark side. I think some petal flower has been busy reporting comments and giving Trustpilot's compliance team a surge of work to do.

Maybe these types of reviews haven't been complained about though.
Try flagging them up.

IKeepFlouncing · 11/10/2018 09:26

Flora I’m on it 😉 like pp said it works both ways. I’d love to share the obvious discovery.

But I’m not that helpful just lately

YY. Ocado aren't going to complain about positive reviews, but other Trustpilot members can.

gilchrist168 · 11/10/2018 13:18

Strangely, after several weeks of viewings, Ocado now does not seem to like me asking if their CEO is on glue.

Thank you to the many dozens of people who found my review of Ocado helpful in the interim. Glad to oblige. I've resubmitted, awaiting response,
.
I've had to name change on Trustpilot.

Doxor Dave the newbie is angry.

Trustpilot has taken down his only review, so he is reviewing Trustpilot about his right to use "Christian" ( not first) names and real names.
