It's pretty shit, just been grumbling to my husband. I don't shop at top shop but imagine many trans folk might, hence what happened there. As for what is going on in America, it's depressing.

Sitting here in my PJs wondering what I can do in a practical sense. I feel useless.

I think there's a fuck load to be fought yet but the Nobel peace prize winners are a highlight and I'm yet to be totally won over by the person behind that pop up. Plus, it's likely to work in her favour to be honest; more publicity.

In many ways perhaps the media coverage of these things will wake the next generation to be less woke.

The other depressing thing IS the next generation. My dd is 15yrs and thinks she is a feminist. She’s not because she is so bloody woke about trans issues she’s blind to the damage they do to the feminist cause. I’ve tried to talk to her about it but it ends up with an enormous rolling of the eyes and ‘you’re a transphobic dinosaur’ type situation.

Imagine being Julie Bindel and watching the slide over the last 15 years.

Scarred reputation yes but still being actively put in one of the most powerful legal roles in the USA?! There’s no victory there I’m sad to say. The message is loud and clear,

I look at the previous generations, the suffragettes and our mothers who fought so hard for women's rights, and I just don't know where they drew their strength from. This is so exhausting and so bloody depressing.
