I don't think it's ever polite to laugh at someone, but her response was hardly a hanging offence! Being (arguably) rude doesn't warrant a scandalised headline like that.

She had no chance. She must have known that, and that makes it all the more impressive she went. From the clip, they weren't interested. Any 'disrespectful woman' who supports her wasn't getting a voice. Again, the voice of women isn't important, and aggressive language is utilised to describe and to put down. I think the hashtag or Tshirt with disrespectful woman is bloody brilliant

It deserves to be laughed at. It is ridiculous and it should not be taken seriously by anyone.

Yes, I am very much up for a t-shirt, and while I know I could make one myself, I'd much rather get one and contribute to something at the same time. Being a gobshite with a purpose is now my life's work.

The more I think about it, the creepier it seems, Metro telling Posie off for being a 'disrespectful woman'.
Really evokes Handmaid's Tale.

^^ This encapsulates the shock value of this. And it is frightening in so many ways - but this is indicative of just how rigid social restrictions around women's behaviour are.

Some women of course. Because it was fine for IW to intimidate an elderly Amanda Barrie...

It’s funny just how cross a disrespectful woman makes some men.

OK - I'm now imagining a print/fabric design with headshots of notable women and the text, Disrespectful Woman.

I frequently regret that I have no design skills and this is one of those moments when I wish I had those abilities.
