The Brilliant Standing for Women are bringing We Need To Talk to Manchester on the 28th September

It's the same night as the WPUK event in Leeds so if you can't get over there come join the Manchester Meeting!

I'm very keen to come to this, and happy to meet up beforehand /after with any other MNers as i'll be coming alone

I'm planning to drive in as the trains back from Manchester in the evening are awful - I understand why they're keeping the venue secret til the last minute but it's not great for parking anxiety! Would be great to meet up, am also coming alone.

Hi Silentcrow, I'd be happy to meet up. I think I am going to drive in and just pay for parking if it is central. I have emailed the organisers to ask whether you can park outside or not but not had a response yet.

Shame that they have to keep the venue secret in this day and age... but it reminds me of my old raving days in the 90s when the venue was not given out until the very last minute!!

On reflection I might just go in a bit earlier to miss the rush hour. Decisions, decisions.

Those driving in please remember the bus lanes in Manchester and get the latest updates on your sat nav - I say this because I've been caught before. I recommend NOT pre booking a car parking space as it is pricey, you are sure to get a space and it's cheaper.

I was a trans ally not so long back, vehemently after dating a partner on the trans spectrum but after reading MN I'm starting to question How I feel.

I don't think I would fit in there as my partner was bio female and identified as gendefluid when I met her so I never really lost my partner to it. However looking back the whole thing was highly manipulative and inconsistent.

I'd love to go but what time does it finish? On public transport so would need to be able to get a train home.

My ticket says 9pm, Basghetti, but i think there's a bar afterwards.

The talky bit is 6.30-9 and then drinking/mingling after. There's always people who will lift share etc.

When and how do we find out the venue? I have mobility issues so need to plan my journey.
