JK Rowling is being called out on twitter by Owl for liking Janice Turner's fox-in-the-henhouse article.

Many of us have thought for a long while that JKR is on side. I wish she would come out publicly and fully support women.

Of course it’s not true.
It’s in the Sunday Sport. The paper that brought you ‘London bus found on the moon’.

What has that middle-aged bigot gone and done now?
Shocked:

KatVonGulag · 16/09/2018 12:56

Yeah the Sunday sport things just nasty.

KatVonGulag

They do my head in running around with their dear little "thought police" hats on... blowing their little whistles and pointing.

They remind me of those (usually young) men who wander the streets in countries like Iran and Aghanistan, armed with sticks, ready to hit the legs of any woman who's wearing the wrong sort of shoes or showing ankle. I once read a cry-from-the-heart by an Israeli architect describing carloads of young men who spend all day driving from building site to building site, bustling on and inspecting the ground for bones. Any kind - dog, chicken, wild animal. They instantly get the site closed down on the grounds that it might be a sacred burial site. They travel in groups and are very intimidating.

Religion and cults like we're discussing are just a way for men to force everyone else to submit.

Juells · 16/09/2018 13:33

What a vile article, including everyone involved in it.

I laughed when I saw one twitter reply, though.

"Jeremy is available"

ToeToToe · 16/09/2018 14:41

I didn't know the Sunday Sport was still going.

The trans-activism thing is so beyond satire now, you really can't make it up. That could just as easily be in the Onion.

"Tabitha, formerly a lorry driver called Derek...."

AngryAttackKittens · 16/09/2018 15:03

"Tabitha, a lorry driver called Derek on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays"...

Bolloxio · 16/09/2018 15:44

"Jeremy is available"

Yup, I laughed at that too Grin

The article though..is disgusting. Both if its true, with the cotton jock strap stuff, and the language used in it. I wouldn't have thought a paper could use 'trannies' and such..

I am as gender critical as they come, and hate when transphobia is screamed all of the time, but I do actually think that that article is transphobic.
