JK Rowling is being called out on twitter by Owl for liking Janice Turner's fox-in-the-henhouse article.

Many of us have thought for a long while that JKR is on side. I wish she would come out publicly and fully support women.

Remind me, was it Owl or Fox who said homosexuality was 'deviant' in that video?

Total power play. Some of them are drunk with the sense of control, so it's part of the game to fold their arms and tap their foot crossly when someone they thought they had firmly in hand seems to misbehave.

StormyDaniels · 14/09/2018 20:45

Does anyone else always think of this when Fox is mentioned?

Stormy Grin

How much time do these Twitter warriors spend on there in order to police people’s likes?

AngryAttackKittens · 14/09/2018 20:56

Can we swap our Fox and Owl for the adorably ridiculous people dancing in the woods? Because that would be lovely, and they'd probably quite like Rowling.

BoreOfWhabylon · 15/09/2018 11:13

She's done it again! Grin

LITERAL VIOLENCE TO PEARS 🍐

Bowlofbabelfish · 15/09/2018 13:46

Cutted up pear...

LangCleg · 15/09/2018 13:46

Pearfect!

KatVonGulag · 15/09/2018 13:49

Pretty tragic of fox or owl or whatever woodland creature this is.

I think they ought to get a life, maybe go forage for a chicken carcass or something.

They do my head in running around with their dear little "thought police" hats on... blowing their little whistles and pointing.

Angry

so much delicious power in making everyone walk on eggshells.

For reasons too personal and tedious to go into, I long ago decided to stop engaging with people who behave like this. It’s a form of emotional abuse. It’s a bit like the type of person who turns on the waterworks at any tiny criticism, or who threatens suicide to keep you in line, or turns any mention of difficulty into about how it makes them feel.

It’s something that I refuse to engage with.

So I’ve just realised why the pronoun shit pisses me off so much.

Winterlight · 15/09/2018 14:05

Yes, hard-core! I hope they don’t stalk her.

(Fetches coat)

SausageOnAFork · 15/09/2018 14:06

honestly, how do they find the time to police us all?

Because they are men. Men can always find the time for hobbies. It’s the women who have to ‘juggle’ everything.

GrinGrin Thanks for sharing that 'they' quote. Two bits of kitchen towel later & i have a dry keyboard again.

We are in different times now, it is becoming easier to say amongst friends and acquaintances that self id has the potential to be another abuse scandal, and that women definitely do not have penises.

Completely agree. This has come up spontaneously twice in conversation in the last week - 1 male colleague whose partner is firmly GC (he was surprisingly well briefed) and at a social gathering with women who were new to the topic but totally got it.

SlowlyShrinking · 15/09/2018 21:46

It was Fox who said that they didn’t want to be part of the LGB because they didn’t want the T to be associated with ‘deviancy’
At the time I felt a bit sorry for them because I assumed that as a natal woman, Fox was dealing with some internalised lesbophobia, but now I know that Fox is in a relationship with a natal man, it puts a very different slant on that comment Hmm

Oh deary, deary me. I think that a lot of people assume that all the DM articles are going to be like that, instead of the spot on journalism they actually are.

What a vile article, including everyone involved in it.

silentcrow · 15/09/2018 22:27

I read that ten minutes ago and my eyebrows are yet to extract themselves from my hairline.

It can't be true, surely. In fact, I'm calling bull because I can't find any mention of this Tabitha person anywhere, nor any sign of Boris having a stalker.
