There's a YouTube link a bit back in this thread.

silentcrow · 10/09/2018 17:43

Cor. Excellent work from Dr Nic, there. You have to wonder what else was said once the cameras stopped rolling Grin Fab that she wore the t-shirt, too, hopefully people will start to recognise it.

Pywife2 · 10/09/2018 17:45

Tara was a joke even before putting the finger up, with the affected speech and focus on 'me me meee', in stark contrast with the two women guests, who were very calm and factual, very unemotional. Dr Nic was right to show compassion towards someone who had such a bad experience in prison and suggest a viable alternative. The reaction to that, and indeed the very graphic description of the experience, wasn't what I would typify as a female response but when it comes to how people deal with sexual assault, but it is wrong to be judgemental and perhaps some individuals find it easier to go into the level of detail that Tara did on national television. In spite of being an emotional being when it came to putting together a rational argument a few minutes before.

If the BBC edits out Tara's inability to exert anger management at the end there, they are wasting their time because this will be all over the Internet. They can no longer control the news or public opinion as they used to.

A previous poster has ridiculed the idea that a reputable organisation like the BBC would abuse the data provided by people putting in a complaint. What, like Mumsnet you mean? It can't happen here?

OlennasWimple · 10/09/2018 17:49

Hudson is another serial name changer, having been known as Holly Johansson and Tia Star

If the BBC misused personal data from complaints that would be a HUGE story.

Much more likely for TRAs to be on here suggesting that would happen to put people off complaining or raising their voice.

ShotsFired · 10/09/2018 17:56

Er, @wanderabout, please do feel free to search my posting history on FWR (or any of the boards if you like) before you start slinging accusations round. I am NOT a bloody TRA thank you very much!

Ereshkigal · 10/09/2018 17:56

Just watched the YouTube. Thank you whoever posted that! I imagine the BBC will get it taken down.

ShotsFired · 10/09/2018 17:59

My mere suggestion (and it wasn't mandatory!) was in light of the data leak here. We just don't know whose eyes will see our data in the behemoth that is the BBC. But we do know they have a strong pro-trans bias, so I personally chose to err on the side of caution for the sake of using an alternative email address?

What' exactly is your problem with that?

RomyAndJulio · 10/09/2018 18:00

That's just silly no one at the BBC is going to do something untoward with complaint info.

Like what didn’t happen on Mumsnet you mean? Hmm

speakingwoman · 10/09/2018 18:03

Well done Dr Nic.

Procrastinator1 · 10/09/2018 18:17

Thank you to Melissa Briscoe too. She made it clear to the viewers that the decision to send White to a woman’s prison was really terrible.

GirlScout72 · 10/09/2018 18:20

Just hopping in here, so sorry if this has been said before.

It was the Tara Hudson case that changed prison policy - the very policy that since put Karen White in a female jail. This is such a delicious irony. 150,000 people signed a petition and Caroline Lucas wrote an open letter to the Home Office to get Hudson moved to a female jail.

So it was the Hudson case that directly influenced the current system of the management of trans prisoners that allows male bodied, non legally transitioned, bepenised violent offenders transfer into the female estate!

Oh and I bet the BBC is redcheeked, poor oppressed Tara now works as a TS camgirl, residing in Amsterdam where they fled, obviously, to recover from the trauma of being in a male jail. Home made porn openly on timeline, along with tweets such as 'I love sucking d*ks tbh' and mind boggling discussions of 'anl play' LOL

So Tara and their 'seven inch surprise' is currently still in the 'entertainment' business.

Oh and Tara RT'd something minutes after the show calling Dr Nic a TERF and a Nazi.

Good work Beeb ...

SturdyEarmuffs · 10/09/2018 18:24

'Knell, girlscout - that was certainly the best person to talk about this on the BBC eh?

smh

PersistenceIsNotFutile · 10/09/2018 18:37

The BBC is a disgrace.

Do you reckon Victoria has peaked yet? 🤣

MsBeee · 10/09/2018 18:46

If she hasn't she needs here head examined.

Datun · 10/09/2018 18:48

To be fair - Tara didn't agree that transwomen should be allowed into women's prisons no matter what. Tara just wanted to be sure that people like Tara didn't end up in male prisons and on this point, I agree. A man who presents as female will be eaten alive in a male prison. That's not right either.

Tara's motivation is not making sure they stay out of a male prison. Otherwise they would be happy with a third option. Delighted in fact.

Tara's motivation is that they get into a female prison. Whether that's for validation, or intimidation purposes, who knows.

Either way, Tara is a violent male born criminal and should be nowhere near incarcerated women.

And what was all that banging on about they have been transitioned since a child? They transitioned at 18.

BiologyMatters · 10/09/2018 18:57

Why is Tara sitting in front of two photos of naked/ semi naked women?

CertainHalfDesertedStreets · 10/09/2018 19:01

I think Victoria is here somewhere judging by that. C'mon, who is it?

BettyDuMonde · 10/09/2018 19:05

BiologyMatters - I think they are pictures OF Tara?

Gosh, don't you have half naked pictures of you on display in rooms where complete strangers will be looking?

So TELI are describing Fairplay for Women as an 'extremist anti-trans activist' group?

Just to keep the link handy

I would imagine the "alleged rape" Was because he hasn't been convicted of that one. So strictly speaking that rape is only alleged. That he is a rapist is not.

PineappleSunrise · 10/09/2018 19:22

Counter Terrorism has been asked by TRAs to investigate A Woman's Place UK because of stickers?

I'll bet MI5 is dead impressed by that.
