As @R0wantree linked to on the thread on crossing out 'gender' for 'sex' on school forms, but this deserves its own thread.

Take a look at 'BISH' website for teens.

www.bishuk.com/about-you/whats-your-gender/

Has a helpful diagram. People called 'he' and who look masculine tend to be tough, active and independent. People called 'she' and who look feminine tend to be soft, emotional and passive.

He goes into schools and youth clubs and gives training to teachers on sex and relationship education with this shit! bishtraining.com/

"Our genitals are on a spectrum in terms of: how much erectile tissue sticks out (clitorises and dicks and inbetween); where the prostate is; where the wee hole is; whether the gonads are inside or outside; vagina size. Many people are in the middle of this spectrum with how their bodies are configured."

WTAF? There is a spectrum as to where the prostate is? that makes just as much sense as saying there is a spectrum as to where the uterus is between males and females ! Confused

"Currently I’m heavily involved in the DO … project. This is a campaign to make great sex and relationships education happen in schools." www.dosreforschools.com/

BISH and the DO SRE FOR SCHOOLS project are both sponsored by Durex and DO involves serious people who know about biology like the Family Planning Association, Brook and the National Association of Headteachers.

....I hope they were just not paying attention. I think we could bring it to the attention of their twitter accounts that they are supporting the promotion of sexism and absolute biological nonsense into schools.

What girls need is someone to tell them that if a potential first time sexual partner suggests anal and fisting videos they can and probably should tell him to fuck off rather than trying to talk themselves into going along with it with the idea with the aid of creepy groomers who want to show them porn and lie to them about their bodies like Justin.

Zeugma · 12/09/2018 11:36

Surprise, surprise. Justin and his 'mate' Meg-John have just popped up on R4 in a programme about ' The New Age of Consent'. Introduced as experts on sex and relationships - no mention of BISH - and talking oh-so-cutely about their favourite Pixar movies. But managed to shoe-horn in a reference to what you should do if your sexual tastes are outside the mainstream when it comes to issues of consent. Which, in the light of this thread, doesn't seem quite so cutesy after all.

How do these people manage to get their hooks in everywhere you look?

It'll be available to listen again in due course. It's just finished so was on 12 to 12:30, Radio 4.

Zeugma · 12/09/2018 11:38

Sorry, 11 to 11:30 that should be. Sleepless night, not enough coffee

NothingOnTellyAgain · 12/09/2018 12:29

And what did they say the new age of consent should be...

11?
6?
Up to the adult to judge whether the child is ready?

Remember that those who prefer "intergenerational" partnerings are the most oppressed sexuality there is. Poor loves.

Introduced as experts on sex and relationships

How do these people manage to get their hooks in everywhere you look?

God knows as I cannot think of anyone worse to 'educate' our kids on sex and relationships and I will do everything in my power to expose them for what they are, particularly that creep Justin,

I'm usually so mild mannered but after reading some of the stuff on the BISH website, just the mention of that person's name has me seething with anger.

Bish is proundly supported by their partner organisation Parent Info

Who is behind Parent Info?

Parent Info is a collaboration between NCA-CEOP and Parent Zone.

Parent Zone are the experts in digital family life. They provide support and information to parents, children and schools, working globally to help families navigate the internet safely and confidently.

NCA-CEOP is the Child Exploitation and Online Protection Command of the National Crime Agency, reaching over five million children and young people a year through its Thinkuknow education programme and regularly conveys its vital online safety messages to over 145,000 practitioners (such as social workers, teachers and police officers) registered to their network, who cascade these messages directly to children and young people.

AIBU to be extremely concerned that a very disturbing website such as Bish is partnered by the National Crime Agency and CEOP?

and here is a very intersting link indeed from the Parent Info website

NCA-CEOP is a command of the National Crime Agency. As well as being a reporting mechanism, NCA-CEOP works with child protection partners across the UK and overseas to identify the main threats to children, and coordinates activity against these threats to bring offenders to account.

twisty rabbit holes lead to others, there is so much more of concern to report but I have things to do for now

littlbrowndog · 12/01/2020 14:57

God. Look at the same people popping up everywhere.

Has nobody in any sort of organisation never linked these people together and just thought. Hold on

ValancyRedfern · 12/01/2020 19:26

This is so disturbing. I'm terrified

PaleBlueMoonlight · 12/01/2020 23:06

I am really confused (probably tired), could someone summarise? Particularly concerned as Parent Zone is something I am familiar with.

Elly Hason / Farmer is, like her father Lord Farmer (prominent Tory brexiteer aka Mr Copper) very involved in Iain Duncan's Smith's controversial think tank the Centre for Social Justice - more to follow on the CSJ

On the subject of social justice, readers who are interested in examining discourses around queer theory, postmodernism and the like might be interested in the the below video

I am sorry to say I'm not shocked. My daughter has mainly been home educated and only went to the local school for a few years. One of the things I noticed, and really was unhappy about, were the number of groups and presenters who seemed to have no real credentials or expertise that were allowed into the schools to present to the kids.

I can also imagine well meaning people going along with this. It supports that hazy idea that we're all just the same really, with just some minor differences in appendage size.

I think this may be true, it melds well with this idea that may be the kind of thing a lot of the teachers were taught when they were in school.

hoodathunkit · 13/01/2020 12:47

I am really confused (probably tired), could someone summarise? Particularly concerned as Parent Zone is something I am familiar with.

There is a website called Bish

It claims to provide "educational" material aimed at young people aged 14+ regarding gender and sexual relations

It actally provides unscientific, false, gender stereotypical, controversial information about gender

It offers advice to 14+ year olds about how to have anal sex

It offers an A-Z of porn with advice to 14+ year olds about the nature of, for example, porn tagged as "facials", "fetish", "ebony", "pantyhose", "kink and BDSM" and many other pornographic categories so that minors can learn all about porn without having to look at it. Or something

I have worked in sexual health and I feel it is important to teach young people about sexual health, however the Bish website seems to provide misleading and concerning information, some of which could arguably considered a form of sexual grooming.

The Bish website is a partner organisation of Parent Zone (I have not had time to research PZ), the National Crime Agency (the UK's FBI) and CEOP (the Child Exploitation and Online Protection Command).
