Twitter is astonishing at the moment. Despite the gaming of the reports system, despite the relentless targeting of feminist accounts, seems like every thread I read is strongly gender critical. And what few TRA posts there are tend to be of the level of ‘Oh yeah, well, you’re all terfs! Ner ner!’

My favourite moment (and the competition was stiff) was when, just after claiming "woman" meant anyone who identified as such, he walked into admitting that he wouldn't treat people in hospital on the basis of their identity.

In other words he doesn't actually believe it either.

Or he does, but he really would be in serious trouble if he claimed he'd treat transwomen's heart attacks in the same way as women's.

So which is it Adrian? You know it ain't true or you daren't risk being struck off? One way you lose TRA points; the other, you lose doctor points.

The thing I don’t get is, self-identification rules have not changed (yet) - right? I have read the consultation on the proposed amendments to the GRA - but as long as these haven’t come into force, is it not legally the case that ‘woman’ still has a meaning which does not include self-identifying trans women?

In other words, leaving aside the perfectly valid, logical, biological argument that a woman is an adult human female, can it not also be argued that Harrop and his cronies (and the Girl Guides) are plainly wrong as a matter of law?
