I wondered if Philip / Pips Bunce filed under both their names...

R0wantrees · 01/08/2018 08:28

Wasn't there a police officer with two warrant cards?

TimeLady · 01/08/2018 08:30

The Nov 1988 one would seem to be correct.

Advice from the Deed Poll Office

If you’re transgender and you want to change your name, you’ll need to change your name by deed poll.

If your change of name is stated on your Gender Recognition Certificate (GRC) or a new birth certificate (for which a GRC is a prerequisite), then this will also prove your change of name, but you’ll generally need to change your name by deed poll first.

If you’re non-binary and you want to change your name, you’ll also need to change your name by deed poll. However, bear in mind that U.K. law only recognises two legal genders (male and female).

deedpolloffice.com/advice/transgender

A deed poll will be enough to change your name in your passport. However, if you want your passport to be in your new gender as well, HM Passport Office will need to see:
your deed poll, showing that you’ve changed your name to one that’s associated with your new gender
medical evidence showing that your change of gender is “likely to be permanent”. This can be a report from a medical practitioner (such as your consultant or GP), or a chartered psychologist practicing in the field of gender dysphoria.

Ereshkigal · 01/08/2018 08:31

Sorry I meant it would make Bradley 26 when giving evidence to the Miller Trans Inquiry.

TimeLady · 01/08/2018 08:34

The Action of Trans Health directorship records show that a Josh (not Joshua) Bradley (dob Nov 1988) resigned from that position in April 2018

The officer now has two warrant cards, one in their male name and the other in their female name. They can report for work in either male or female uniform

For fucking fucks sake.

Gileswithachainsaw · 01/08/2018 08:44

So on the "female " days do they search the women?

TimeLady · 01/08/2018 08:45

So how does that work if you have to sign something legally? I can understand that P Bunce as a signature would work for Phil/Pippa, but not if the first names (Callum and Abi) are different. Surely that matters as a police officer? Don't they have to sign statements?

Gileswithachainsaw · 01/08/2018 08:47

That's a good point. Can't cases be thrown out if paperwork isn't correctly filled out?

missedith01 · 01/08/2018 08:49

You don't have to use a deed poll to change your name. It's lawful to just start using a new name, I think, so long as there's no intention to mislead. If you want to change official documents like a passport I think it's necessary but then you have to swear not to use your previous name in future.

TimeLady · 01/08/2018 08:49

And if he's filled in the paperwork as Callum, but is called into court to give evidence on an Abi day, how does he/she take the oath?

It's all PC bollocks, isn't it?

TimeLady · 01/08/2018 08:50

Actually maybe that should be PC Bollocks

vivariumvivariumsvivaria · 01/08/2018 08:51

Did Jess do adult work? There seem to be a legion of very slim, wide eyed young men with gender issues doing web cam etc.

I am assuming that Jess has had help from someone important enough to help Jess gain a job where Jess is inluencing policy (cos, Jess doesn't seem like the sharpest tool. And I've seen Jess' tool)

Maybe that hypothetical person was a romantic relationship, with images and evidence they don't want in the public domain.

It's the tale as old as time. Bound to be some Pillar of the Community worried about his reputation who's funding the lawyers.

Ereshkigal · 01/08/2018 08:52

Think that covers it Grin

My money's on that too. That's the only thing that makes sense of the Carter Ruck connection.

missedith01 · 01/08/2018 09:00

I think warrant cards aren't that significant, actually, in terms of PACE, etc.

R0wantrees · 01/08/2018 09:04

missedith01

I think its very significant when a small number of people in public roles or with positions of influence are using dual identities.

Especially, when for whatever additional reasons, stating this becomes controversial!

TimeLady · 01/08/2018 09:12

It'd be interesting to see what the position is on the electoral register. Presumably you can only register in one name. ie. the legal one.

BettyDuMonde · 01/08/2018 09:24

At least the gender fluid copper solves the problem of who will legally be allowed to perform body searches on non-binary people (if Penny M get her way).

LangCleg · 01/08/2018 09:26

I would think that that same attitude is probably widespread within the NUS itself too; and they wouldn't be the first organisation (and won't be the last) to think that their own internal procedures are just fine thanks and that protecting the organisation itself is paramount. Even though we have seen again and again where all that goes, when it comes to abuse of the vulnerable.

Very prominent within leftist circles. We all remember the SWP and the Comrade Delta fiasco.

NothingOnTellyAgain · 01/08/2018 09:30

Yes I believe they can search women etc on a woman day. Because in a woman day, they are a woman, literally.

With PB you can tell easily which day it is as when they are a woman they stand like "I'm a little teapot" which as we know is how all women stand.

NothingOnTellyAgain · 01/08/2018 09:31

Plus all the stuff coming out about charities in the last few years.

missedith01 · 01/08/2018 09:34

I think it might be significant they have two warrant cards, but just not because the warrant card is vital in the administration of police duties. I mean, I don't think it's as simple as "all arrests carried out using the second card they acquired are legally dubious".
