www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-6003331/Britains-official-transgender-student-officer-suspended.html

"Shocking images on the site show an individual flashing while sitting in a train carriage, in a public park and at a bus stop.

Another photograph shows male genitals being exposed in an office close to a curved wooden desk that is strikingly similar to a picture of a work desk that Ms Bradley posted on her Facebook page. "

The photo have been archived on archive.is, you can search there under the domain exhbitionizm.tumblr.com and include lots of flashing shots.

Bradley has commented:

" I appreciate at this time there is a lot of speculation about my conduct and I am able to tell you that I am confident that none of my behaviour has been unlawful, and that I have not engaged in sexual activity with anyone, or in the view of anyone, without their consent. "

Little Britain! Not fast show!

LemonJello · 30/07/2018 12:18

Hi Jess, twiddling your
ladypenis thumbs today are we?

AngryAttackKittens · 30/07/2018 12:18

I feel like when people start arguing that sex isn't a thing we've reached the Python-esque randomly slapping people in the faces with fish stage of the "debate".

TransplantsArePlants · 30/07/2018 12:18

I don't take Bespin in good faith anymore.

JackyHolyoake · 30/07/2018 12:19

genderskeptic

"it just means you can't argue she isn't a woman on the basis of her crimes"

yes we can .. a human body with a penis is a male human body. If that male body is infantile / juvenile /adolescent it is the body of a boy. If that male body is adult it is the body of a man. Jess Bradley has an adult male body.

No human can ever change their sex.

VickyEadie · 30/07/2018 12:20

but it is one person so please do not judge all trans people by the actions of one person

That one person has been speaking for all trans people and has been influential in training and on advising the government on behalf of all trans people, so that's a bit like asking people to not judge the conservative party by the actions of Boris Johnson and Michael Gove.

Indeed so. A person who has been so vociferous in their claims that women are not at risk has been found to be a massive risk.

The evils of colonialism are many. However, the idea that colonialism introduced the concepts of sex and gender to colonised societies is just incredibly condescending and very “noble savage”. History does not support this - and I don’t just mean history written by the colonisers, but the histories of the communities in question themselves. The works you mention are very controversial for this reason. They don’t just present an interesting perspective, but a perspective that has been much disputed.

A bunch of white people calling a Nigerian feminist scholar a racist for telling the truth about gender... I have to laugh!

Her 1997 monograph, The Invention of Women: Making an African Sense of Western Gender Discourses, won the American Sociological Association's 1998 Distinguished Book Award in the Gender and Sex category. In the book, she offers a postcolonial feminist critique of Western dominance in African studies, writing for instance that "despite voluminous scholarship to the contrary, gender was not an organizing principle in Yoruba society prior to colonization by the West."

Sex = female; gender = learned stereotyped behaviours described as feminine / femininity

Sex = male; gender = learned stereotyped behaviours described as masculine / masculinity

Peachydream · 30/07/2018 12:21

Is it Nuffaluff ?

Ereshkigal · 30/07/2018 12:24

Let's concentrate on the matter in hand, Jess Bradley. of course that isn't a double entendre

genderskeptic · 30/07/2018 12:24

"Sorry for indulging it, but I've never been accused of being poisoned by colonialism before. I'm sure it has something to do with two spirit people ."

When you're definitely not a racist & coloniser who thinks indigenous systems of gender are silly and made up and need white people to come and correct them... 🤔

missedith01 · 30/07/2018 12:24

You're back in the room!

Nuffaluff · 30/07/2018 12:25

Yes, thank you both, it is from Little Britain!

AngryAttackKittens · 30/07/2018 12:25

As fascinating as discussing colonialism is I'm not sure what it has to do with the fact that a flasher really ought not to have been giving the government advice on whether or not it's safe to let male people into women's spaces, and the fact that their having been allowed to do so may indicate a teensy bit of a problem in terms of which individuals are being promoted and accepted as spokespeople for trans rights.

Ereshkigal · 30/07/2018 12:25

Start a new thread genderskeptic.

ToeToToe · 30/07/2018 12:25

genderskeptic - not everyone on Mumsnet is white.

Go start a thread about Oyèrónkẹ́ Oyèwùmí “The Invention of Women: Making an African Sense of Western Gender Discourses” if you want.

It has nothing whatsoever to do with Jess Bradley alleged flasher.

Bumbungo · 30/07/2018 12:25

The fact that you believe that man and woman or male and female are universal truths is evidence that your mind has been poisoned by colonialism.

Oh Sweet Jesus, another glorious form of delusion. Can you start a new thread on this genderskeptic?

Ereshkigal · 30/07/2018 12:26

When you're definitely not a racist & coloniser who thinks indigenous systems of gender are silly and made up and need white people to come and correct them...

Careful you'll put your back out if you reach any more.

Bumbungo · 30/07/2018 12:26

PeachYorgurt's new vid

YetAnotherSpartacus · 30/07/2018 12:26

That's great that sex wasn't an organising principle (if it indeed was not). However, that's different from saying sex didn't exist. Reproductive roles still existed for starters.

LangCleg · 30/07/2018 12:27

I don't think it's been posted before but this is transsexual Fionne Orlander's reaction to the Bradley allegations:

I get why trans people don't put their face/name forward and get vocal about this, but times running out. If we don't address male pattern abuse it transitions with us.

Our movement is overrun with it, speak out or sink us with it. #selfID absolutely not.

AngryAttackKittens · 30/07/2018 12:27

You're all so mean pointing out that this person is flailing desperately rather than meekly changing the topic as they'd hoped.

Ereshkigal · 30/07/2018 12:27

I expect this is one of our Twitter friends. They think we're all "cis-het middle class white women".
