www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-6003331/Britains-official-transgender-student-officer-suspended.html

"Shocking images on the site show an individual flashing while sitting in a train carriage, in a public park and at a bus stop.

Another photograph shows male genitals being exposed in an office close to a curved wooden desk that is strikingly similar to a picture of a work desk that Ms Bradley posted on her Facebook page. "

The photo have been archived on archive.is, you can search there under the domain exhbitionizm.tumblr.com and include lots of flashing shots.

Bradley has commented:

" I appreciate at this time there is a lot of speculation about my conduct and I am able to tell you that I am confident that none of my behaviour has been unlawful, and that I have not engaged in sexual activity with anyone, or in the view of anyone, without their consent. "

Is there any way this can’t go the way this seems destined to go?

I agree. Surely this must be the end of this madness? There has been very little defence of Jess on Twitter and elsewhere, and none at all from the usual suspects (LOJ, Pink News, even Madigan). I just don't see how they can argue out of this one when one of the very people who has been telling women that there is no reason they cant be allowed into women's spaces, has been displaying the exact behaviour that women have voiced concerns over.

FermatsTheorem · 30/07/2018 10:14

Sadly there is a way this can't go the way it seems destined to.

It goes as follows:
Carter Ruck (who are very, very good at what they do) successfully argue that no penis was exposed in public as exhibitionism that could actually meet the letter of the law under voyeurism legislation, and their client was only engaging in a private sexual fetish, with pictures on tumblr. The Mail is forced to retract. Mx. 'whap your willy out and fap off on tumblr' invokes the right to be forgotten on google, all traces of the willy-waving incident get airbrushed from history, Mx. 'Whap your willy out and fap off on tumblr" gets to continue with their campaign for willies in women's spaces unimpeded by any uncomfortable facts about their highly dubious motives for this campaign.

In the words of the late, great Douglas Adams, "That was easy, says man, and goes on to prove black is white before being run down and killed on the next zebra crossing..."

Anyway, I would suggest it’s reasonable for women to have ‘unfettered access’ to other women as women tend not to do anything with that access that could be harmful to others. Women very rarely commit sexual or violent offences against other women.

Bespin · 30/07/2018 10:27

I really hope no one tries to defend this one as it is not behaviour becoming of a national representive, and really you have to hold. ya hands up when people find out your doing these things and making them public. now this may be a private thing and no laws may have been broken. But it would be best for all of they just step down and don't claim to represent the trans community.

Also rape is a crime committed with a penis so anyone daft enough to argue otherwise really deserves what they get on here. I can appriciate that this is the best story ever on here but it is one person so please do not judge all trans people by the actions of one person as I'm. sure you would not like to be judged for the actions of others. also if your wanting a point to stand on here maybe don't misgender people as the rules state. I'm sure you can still make valid points without it.

littlbrowndog · 30/07/2018 10:29

I would never mis gender a lady cock. Never ever

NameChangedAgain18 · 30/07/2018 10:31

I don’t judge all trans people by the actions of one person. However, this is someone who has been appointed and elected, in two separate roles, to represent the trans community.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 30/07/2018 10:32

It's pretty damned clear that posters here do not tar all trans people with the same brush and are unlikely to extrapolate from Bradley to trans people writ large.

also if your wanting a point to stand on here maybe don't misgender people as the rules state. I'm sure you can still make valid points without it.

It's a sad day when we are expected to call an individual flashing an erect penis a woman.

FloralBunting · 30/07/2018 10:33

bespin, it appears that the defence line is adopting the 'yes, awful, but don't judge all trans people by one person'.

Which is cute, of course, because no one is judging all trans people, we are simply saying, "Hold on, one of the influential trans people pushing for access to women's spaces is a creepy cock waver - this is alarming and perfectly illustrates our concerns"

SlothSlothSloth · 30/07/2018 10:33

I just don't see how they can argue out of this one when one of the very people who has been telling women that there is no reason they cant be allowed into women's spaces, has been displaying the exact behaviour that women have voiced concerns over.

This feels overly optimistic tbh. They can - and already have - been dismissing this the same way they dismiss Ian Huntley. “Not really a trans woman” and so on.

And I haven’t seen this yet, but it will come I’m sure - the argument that all laws are open to abuse, and trans women can’t be denied their rights on the basis of a minority of predators existing IN EVERY DEMOGRAPHIC. The “in every demographic” part will be stressed. Someone has already been on this thread talking about how women can be predators too.

Bespin · 30/07/2018 10:33

littlbrowndog

great to know 😉

also jess was not elected by me unless I missed the vote, it's. like when famous trans people are decided by the media to represent us and they really don't know what they are talking about.

AncientLights · 30/07/2018 10:34

I would never misgender a ladycock either. What could be more female than an erect cock on display in a public place? Of course that cock is female, as is the person it's attached to.

Hangingaroundtheportal · 30/07/2018 10:34

I can appriciate that this is the best story ever on here but it is one person so please do not judge all trans people by the actions of one person as I'm. sure you would not like to be judged for the actions of others.

No one is 'judging all trans people on the actions of one'.

Jess Bradley has been campaigning for a long time for access to women's spaces. Women have been voicing concerns about 'self identifying women' (ie. Men) having access to women's spaces, because women know about male behaviour. It turns out that Jess Bradley has been exhibiting that very sort of behaviour, despite going on the telly and telling the govt that women have nothing to worry about.

Do you get it yet? Do you believe that any man who 'self identifies as a woman' should be allowed access to women's spaces? Do you not see any issue with that?

littlbrowndog · 30/07/2018 10:35

Feck I hate being made to lie. I really fecking hate it

Like forcing me to believe stuff that is a full out lie

Forcing me

Hangingaroundtheportal · 30/07/2018 10:36

also if your wanting a point to stand on here maybe don't misgender people as the rules state.

Well yes, I mean the statement 'Jess Bradley has been flaunting her todger all over town' makes perfect sense doesn't it?

Bespin · 30/07/2018 10:37

FloralBunting in no way is that a defence I think they are a total idiot for doing what they did also these people that are influenceal are not put there by us they just assume these positions and then people listen to them. I have massive issues with a lot of what they said. all I am trying to do it show that we are not all the same or. even think the same.

LemonJello · 30/07/2018 10:37

please do not judge all trans people by the actions of one person

This one person has been instrumental in the current proposals to change the law regarding women’s spaces.

This one person demands access to women’s spaces.

Women who are exposed to this one person in their private spaces are not acceptable collateral damage when third spaces are a perfectly viable alternative.

One pervert is one pervert too many in women’s spaces. Sorry.

EmpressOfSpartacus · 30/07/2018 10:37

I don’t judge all trans people by the actions of one person. However, this is someone who has been appointed and elected, in two separate roles, to represent the trans community.

Yes. And the reason we segregate by sex isn't that we judge all XY people by the actions of one person. It's that statistics & experience show that XY people as a class are overwhelmingly more likely to be dangerous to XX people as a class. So we have places exclusively for XX people to try to lessen the likelihood of them being attacked, filmed etc.

The problem with the argument that you should wait until someone's committed an offence is that by then it's too late to stop them. Supposing a woman had felt uncomfortable in a changing room with Jess Bradley? Before this happened do you think she'd have got anywhere by objecting?

Datun · 30/07/2018 10:38

I mean, what sort of a person frames single sex changing rooms in terms of a right to unfettered access to women and girls? What sort of person thinks the raison d'etre for single sex changing rooms is access to a place where women have no clothes on... rather than access to a place where one can get changed safely?

It's not the first time I've seen that. Hey, women get to look at each other's boobies and hoo hahs, that's not fair. I want to too.

( does that comment to comply with your instructions, BespIn? I'm not talking about Bradley, I'm talking about the person reacting to Bradley).

Nuffaluff · 30/07/2018 10:38

bespin
But it’s not the fact that this is one person. This is a person who has got themselves into a fairly prominent political position. They have influence. They actively campaign for people like themselves to access sex segregated spaces.
They claim they are a woman just as much as I am. They claim to be oppressed. A victim. That we feminists are evil nazis for suggesting that we should keep single sex spaces, that we need them for our safety.
And they are a pervert who gets a thrill out of exposing their erect penis in public.
Do you know what? Women don’t do that. They don’t have penises. There is no such thing as a female penis.
This is not some random pervert. This is a pervert who has a very public profile and claims that they are harmless and we should shut up.
It’s the end of the argument.
Sex segregated spaces need to stay.
The emperor has no clothes.

Bespin · 30/07/2018 10:39

Do you get it yet? Do you believe that any man who 'self identifies as a woman' should be allowed access to women's spaces? Do you not see any issue with that?

yes yes I do see issue with that, and if that is what is being proposed then I will take issue with it but that is not what is being proposed.

Sarahconnor1 · 30/07/2018 10:41

so please do not judge all trans people by the actions of one person as I'm. sure you would not like to be judged for the actions of others

I don't. But I do regard this incident (And others) as a stress test for amending legislation which weakens protections for biological women. The stress test failed.

I'm also appalled at the infuence Jess has been given without anyone appearing to question it.

SlothSlothSloth · 30/07/2018 10:41

Bespin that LITERALLY is what being proposed though. In what way is it not!? What do you think is being proposed?

Bowlofbabelfish · 30/07/2018 10:42

I can appriciate that this is the best story ever on here but it is one person so please do not judge all trans people by the actions of one person as I'm. sure you would not like to be judged for the actions of others.

It is one person. No one is saying all transpeople are a threat.

What we are saying is twofold.

  1. A person lobbying for the right to access women’s spaces and telling women they’re idiots for objecting because x will never happen has allegedly been caught doing x this casts their alleged motives in an unfavourable light.
  1. It illustrates the loopholes that will be created if self ID comes in. Any Male (trans, non trans, anyone) who wants to whack out their dick and have a wank at women or far worse in a previously safe space will be able to, simply by identifying as a woman. Or even just walking in, since no one will dare to challenge them. Self ID created a situation where any man can walk in. And as we see, many men are a bit dodgy aren’t they?

bespin do you not see the loopholes being created? Do you not understand the safety concerns? Or do you see them and not accept that women have a right to be concerned.
