www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-6003331/Britains-official-transgender-student-officer-suspended.html

"Shocking images on the site show an individual flashing while sitting in a train carriage, in a public park and at a bus stop.

Another photograph shows male genitals being exposed in an office close to a curved wooden desk that is strikingly similar to a picture of a work desk that Ms Bradley posted on her Facebook page. "

The photo have been archived on archive.is, you can search there under the domain exhbitionizm.tumblr.com and include lots of flashing shots.

Bradley has commented:

" I appreciate at this time there is a lot of speculation about my conduct and I am able to tell you that I am confident that none of my behaviour has been unlawful, and that I have not engaged in sexual activity with anyone, or in the view of anyone, without their consent. "

Eh, they're busy trying to bully women into compliance on the mental health thread right now, Sophocles, give them time

So little time, so many women to correct, undermine and gaslight.

It's a hard path.

Come on, don't be shy! Please do tell us where this fits in the pantheon of This Never Happens. Is it Fake News, No True Trans, Fitup by Evil T**Fs, or Dysphoria Induced Flashing?

TerfsUp · 29/07/2018 13:11

Have to say though, massive own goal trying to spin it as "but everyone who saw consented!".

Can someone explain to me about consent? Does it mean that the consent has to be explicit, ie if a person saw Bradley's dick but did not say "Bradley, put your dick away" it was "not unlawful"?

Sorry to use such convoluted language but I am trying to determine what constitutes "consent" in this case.

AngryAttackKittens · 29/07/2018 13:13

Evil women made Jess post cock pics and creepy fantasies about little boys by misgendering them!

BoreOfWhabylon · 29/07/2018 13:16

There are some great posts on here, I'd espedially like to thank @Xenia for the one she made way upthread about legal precedents - I remember the NightJack blog being taken down too

genderskeptic · 29/07/2018 13:18

This is shameful. We should demand the trans organisations she's been affiliated with disaffiliate immediately and make clear there is no room for this kind of disgusting, rapist behaviour in trans communities. This harms trans people at least as much as it harms everyone else.

CholloDeNombre · 29/07/2018 13:19

Yes, well, quite genderskeptic. But will that actually happen? Will they publicly denounce the behaviour of one of their own?

I'm not holding my breath.

BoreOfWhabylon · 29/07/2018 13:19

Does anyone one know if misogynistic bully Dr Adrian has had anything to say. this morning? He's usually pontificating about how no one has anything to fear from self-id, when he's not interrogating TERFs in his virtual star chamber.

fizzthecat1 · 29/07/2018 13:20

My post calling her a pervert was deleted by Mumsnet, I haven't been on here for a while wtf has happened to this place 😂

womanformallyknownaswoman · 29/07/2018 13:20

That there penis sure had a mind of its own

hackmum · 29/07/2018 13:26

OvaHere: "The not really a TW defence".

Ah, the good old "No true Scotsman" defence. Always pops up at times like this.

I guess the possible defences are:

  1. The Mail story isn't true.
  2. JB isn't representative of other trans people, who are all utter saints, obviously.
  3. JB was behaving in a completely reasonable manner, and what's wrong with women posting pictures of their cocks anyway, you transphobic bigots?

I don't think even our most zealous TRA friends would have the chutzpah to go for option 3. Option 1 isn't a worker either, as JB has more or less admitted it's true. So that leaves option 2, which means that one can expect to see certain allies rapidly choosing to distance themselves from JB. I am deeply disappointed that Madigan who, as R0wantrees points out, recently shared a platform with JB, hasn't given us the benefits of their wisdom on this yet.

I'd like to think Bore is right and that the tide is turning. Yet there do seem to be a few people on Twitter blaming this story all on the nasty Terfs. To be honest, if this story doesn't peak trans people, nothing will.

SPOFS · 29/07/2018 13:28

I wonder who is behind the expose Twitter account? The one posting screenshots? They seemed ahead of the story on this, which makes me think it could be an insider, I.e. Someone at the NUS?

TensionWheelsCoolHeels · 29/07/2018 13:29

There's at least one high profile TRA who lists on their bio on twitter that they are a 'campaigner for political and sexual liberty'.

Wonder what their take on all this will be?

Wanderabout · 29/07/2018 13:30

fizz it may be as these are allegations and the full situation is not clear.

R0wantrees · 29/07/2018 13:30

Does anyone one know if misogynistic bully Dr Adrian has had anything to say. this morning?

I think Dr Harrop is busy pursuing another woman (XX type)

having apparently identified:
"the new generation of violent, knife-wielding, armed and dangerous trans-exclusionary bigots"

LemonJello · 29/07/2018 13:30

Come on, don't be shy! Please do tell us where this fits in the pantheon of This Never Happens. Is it Fake News, No True Trans, Fitup by Evil TFs, or Dysphoria Induced Flashing?

Yeah get a wriggle on guys, I’m waiting to be educated here!

Floisme · 29/07/2018 13:32

And the big flaw in the not representative of other trans people argument is that Bradley has indeed been representing them - to the government no less.

I don't think the government - or the general public - should be allowed to forget that they have been taking advice from this person.

UpstartCrow · 29/07/2018 13:33

Isn't this type of behaviour usually dismissed as No True Scotsman?

BlackForestCake · 29/07/2018 13:33

To be honest, if this story doesn't peak trans people, nothing will.

I am less optimistic because people are already so invested in believing nonsense that they will deny rather than admit they were wrong.

ImPreCis · 29/07/2018 13:33

Flash, bang, wallop what a picture, what a whole bloody album!
The titles on those links tell you all you need to know.

boldlygoingsomewhere · 29/07/2018 13:34

I can’t help but have the feeling that if the Mail went digging for more information on some of the more prominent TRAs, there would be some more skeletons in the closet.

OlennasWimple · 29/07/2018 13:35

I wonder what JB spent the money raised in a crowdfunder for a "trans electrolysis coop" on. (I think they meant to say "co-op")

Sarahconnor1 · 29/07/2018 13:38

OlennasWimple

Maybe the coop was for the cock?

OvaHere · 29/07/2018 13:38

I don't think the government - or the general public - should be allowed to forget that they have been taking advice from this person.

This is the most pertinent point about this story. Bradley isn't some random twitter account, they have been active in informing government regarding policy. Policy which will have harmful effects if enacted the way Bradley would like.

Glad I've hung on a while to fill in the GRA consultation because this is certainly a point to be made.

Indierockandroll · 29/07/2018 13:38

hack I think they might do a sympathy angle. How Jess is persecuted - maybe even that they are unwell/therapy Either way he'd be up shit creek.

But when somebody cocks up send em to rehab and get the sympathy vote... or tell a tragic tale.

CholloDeNombre · 29/07/2018 13:40

Glad I've hung on a while to fill in the GRA consultation because this is certainly a point to be made.

This needs to be shouted from the rooftops. We need a thread in AIBU.
