They can fck right off with their fcking period f*cking pain😠

Have suffered horrendously with periods my whole life. Plus mittelsmertz that had me carted off to hospital once. Two daughters, one sadly suffers as I did...one that happily has very little discomfort.

How dare fcking egotistical delusional men spout this crap!
And as for the idiot women who massage those bloody egos by agreeing and colluding in their fantasies...f
ck right off

Ooh err...that got me proper riled...can you tell?

Voice0fReason · 15/07/2018 23:40

Fake blood and wind is not a period.
Only biological women can have periods.

Ereshkigal · 16/07/2018 09:57

This is a moving Twitter thread about how TRAs appropriate one particular condition to use in arguments about their "womanhood":

twitter.com/MRKHvoice/status/979323375448358912?s=20

With responses. Most supportive, some callous and dismissive.

ShotsFired · 16/07/2018 10:14

Straight out of the gate the male goes aggressively after her.

Quelle surprise.

Ereshkigal · 16/07/2018 10:37

Yes.

BettyDuMonde · 16/07/2018 12:07

Yesterday I ate an entire tub of potato salad in bed, at about 9am. DH came out of the shower and said, ‘did you just eat all of that?’ When I affirmed he said, ‘is it magical lady time?’.

Luckily, all this HRT bloodless period nonsense means that if I do have to have an oophorectomy next year, I will still have an acceptable excuse for eating all of the potato salad.

Can’t decide if I want oven chips or potato waffles for lunch - does anyone else find menstruating makes them potato-mad? Bread will do in a pinch but I swear, I dream of potatoes 2 days a month.

FloralBunting · 16/07/2018 12:24

Oo, this is the first time I think I might actually be blocked by someone, because I can only see supportive messages under that Twitter thread.

2princess14 · 16/07/2018 12:25

😂😂😂😂

cholka · 16/07/2018 12:29

I'm really sick of seeing this 'oh look what the trans brigade is up to now' content on mumsnet.
From a cursory glance, it looks like a blog by a young person saying that everyone has hormonal cycles. Silly to call that a period but WHO CARES.
Stop going looking for outrage.

SuperM0m · 16/07/2018 12:32

Hi all, my first time posting here, so please forgive me if I make a few errors, I'm now 42 and suffer with the most excruciating period cramps, I literally don't eat for 3 days as I feel extremely nauseous, and stay grounded for the first 3 days of my cycle.. my GP says these pains are normal & sends me home with, 2 ibuprofen 3 times a day .. please can anyone suggest any other solutions ?? 😭😭😭

thricethebrindledcat · 16/07/2018 12:33

Are they wanting pregnancies too now as part of the fantasy?
Poor NHS.

Sarahconnor1 · 16/07/2018 12:33

cholka

You may have missed this bit i absolutely love how much trans girls talking about the reality of their periods pisses transphobes off. It makes you feel so powerful! Really tho it's just that they're so weak. I mean, us existing is enough to upset them, so...

It's appropriation and it's offensive and it's done deliberately.

GladAllOver · 16/07/2018 12:35

I think it's just HILARIOUS. I couldn't stop laughing out loud at the silliness and self-deception of this person's imaginary periods.
If I was on twitter I would thank them for their amusing send-up of the whole trans experience.

SimonBridges · 16/07/2018 12:45

I'm really sick of seeing this 'oh look what the trans brigade is up to now' content on mumsnet.

I’m sick of have my experience as a girl and woman erased and belittled.

Racecardriver · 16/07/2018 12:56

Right... I really don't know what to say to that. Its so stupid (and ignorant) that I feel like I have lost braincells just reading it.

Racecardriver · 16/07/2018 13:06

Well hold on... A lot of period symptoms are also pregnancy symptoms. What if she's actually pregnant?!

coffeeagogo · 16/07/2018 13:11

I know I should be outraged etc. But this has given me the best laugh I’ve had in months - proper tears and gasping. The dog won’t come near me because I laughed so much and woke him up.

I feel sorry for this person, actually pity for the stupidity of it all. Is this all they have to think about, making this crap up. I think the person writing wants to feel powerful, but there is no power in being an objective of pity.

ErrolTheDragon · 16/07/2018 13:15

SuperM0m - the Women's Health topic would be a better place to ask this. Or take a look through old threads there to see if there's any relevant advice (but start your own thread to ask questions rather than posting on one that's more than a few weeks old). Good luck!

BettyDuMonde · 16/07/2018 13:30

Hi SuperM0m - didn’t want your first post to go unacknowledged. Welcome!

I’m no expert and my cycle is fairly average these days (41, came off hormonal contraception entirely about 15 years ago and track my cycle with an app, whilst using a copper coil for contraception. Coil makes my bleeding heavier but manageable). In my younger days though, I did had quite some trouble (ocassionally even fainting due to pain) and had a GPs prescription for mfenamic acid - it’s from the same class of drugs as ibuprofen but is considered to be particularly useful for menstrual pain.

I found tracking periods using an app made me appreciate my whole cycle more - I know there are days when I feel particularly energised, for example, and that is a good time for doing physical chores such as stripping wallpaper or pruning trees! I also know that I have some low energy days and I am kind to myself when they occur - I know I won’t lift my personal best at the gym, for example, and it’s no big deal/doesn’t mean I am now suddenly useless.
Knowing it’s part of a bigger process, one that includes real positives, helped me enormously. Women’s bodies are phenomenal!

Apologies if you’ve already done all that stuff and this seems patronising, but like I said, I’m not an expert, but I didn’t want your first post to slip by unnoticed.

BettyDuMonde · 16/07/2018 13:32

Cross post with Errol - sounds like a good tip (I rarely stray beyond this board apart from the odd foray into trending topics on the sidebar)!

placemats · 16/07/2018 16:30

People tracked their periods long before apps came into being.

Even those, like myself, whose cycle wasn't 28 days - load of old shite.

I had daily mucous emissions post period. It became sticky at ovulation. Lasted about 4 days.

I had to do this because I couldn't tolerate any form of contraception other than condoms that were spermicidal free. I have three children and two marriages.

BettyDuMonde · 16/07/2018 16:57

I know placemats, I’m just too lazy/disorganised to do it without the tech, personally :)

Lottie35 · 16/07/2018 19:09

I absolutely hate the term 'Cis woman' ......Just stop it!

thebewilderness · 16/07/2018 20:07

I cannot get past the concern I have for the young people like this who have been groomed into the Followers of Genderism.
They are suffering possible life threatening side effects of the drugs they are taking and rather than getting their ass to the doctor they are letting their Genderist beliefs override their sense of self preservation.

-----

Why do people come on a thread to tell women to shut up?
This is a phenomenon I do not understand.

Bespin · 16/07/2018 21:51

thebewilderness really good point self. medicating is becoming a real. issue with young poeple I feel that extending waiting list at the nhs services is contributing to this xna we not agree that these services. are vital and need to. be better resourced to allow young people to get appropriate assessment and treatment without having to resort to the Internet for help
