I have just left a comment on the lbc comments page. Maybe if we all go to fb and do one each it wont look too suspicious. Its mostly men saying 'oh thought women were the 'fairer' sex' and 'hope these women get prosecuted just like men do' etc

Ineedacupofteadesperately · 26/06/2018 13:51

(and I hope he* is ok)

*assuming of course that his gender feelz are the same as his biological sex. Wonder if any of the reporters bothered to ask

BiologyIsReal · 26/06/2018 13:52

Metro report
metro.co.uk/2018/06/26/man-beaten-gang-women-dresses-heels-night-7660555/

Look at 2nd picture down with caption about trying to calm down "women".

Women? Sorry, pull the other one - it has bells on.

MrWriter · 26/06/2018 13:54

What absolutely shocking reporting, are they not allowed to refer to biological sex now? This is ridiculous.

I'm also concerned about the crime statistics.

AsAProfessionalFekko · 26/06/2018 13:55

Ummmm 2 (black dress and white string vest) of them look like males.

LighthouseSouth · 26/06/2018 13:55

OMD this is insane

but surely the witnesses to the attack will give proper accounts?

there's still people brave enough to call it out on Twitter, thank goodness.

Madame Jojo's closed ages ago. I think sometimes what might be perceived as drag is just regular clothing for that particular person on that day.

BlackeyedSusan · 26/06/2018 13:56

Those attackers are very tall.

Strigiformes · 26/06/2018 13:57

I've complained to LBC, it'll be interesting to see if they reply.

Ineedacupofteadesperately · 26/06/2018 14:00

but surely the witnesses to the attack will give proper accounts?

Will he be allowed to tell the truth as he sees it?

HollyGibney · 26/06/2018 14:00

You ain't no woman, bruv.

Grin
Ineedacupofteadesperately · 26/06/2018 14:02

And the witnesses too....typing while breastfeeding not going well

BlackeyedSusan · 26/06/2018 14:03

Metro report photo, attacker in black dress has a very prominent jaw.

Video of attacker in black dress, blond, looks quite tall as well.

thenightsky · 26/06/2018 14:06

Ah well. I've commented that perhaps some people need to go to specsavers.

AbsintheFriends · 26/06/2018 14:07

The metro report is the most bizarre thing ever. 'Women in dresses'?? Why would that be relevant in any scenario involving actual natal women?? (Unless of course the woman was being attacked, in which case it might well be entirely the dress's fault, obviously)

Is this part of the elaborate code that readers need to crack before glancing through a newspaper in 2018? 'Women in dresses' = journalist speak for men.

Mummyoflittledragon · 26/06/2018 14:07

What women?
Disgusting articles.

Tara336 · 26/06/2018 14:07

Surely we should be shocked at this violence and the people clearly enjoying it and filming it? Does it matter if it’s men, women or trans? This attack was horrific and the bystanders behaviour as bad!

LighthouseSouth · 26/06/2018 14:08

"The metro report is the most bizarre thing ever"

I think they are trying their best within guidelines. Something I can relate to.

Jorah · 26/06/2018 14:09

Oh fgs Tara of course we are shocked.

But sadly not surprised as the huge majority of attacks like this are from men.

HollyGibney · 26/06/2018 14:10

Does it matter if it’s men, women or trans?

Of course it matters! It's completely inaccurate reporting. It will affect crime stats. It's basically a big fat lie!

HumphreyCobblers · 26/06/2018 14:11

Wasn't there an item in the Telegraph, bemoaning the rise of female crime, with examples offered of transwomen? They were clearly transwomen from the photographs.

Blur those female statistics enough and it will be the end of safe spaces for women, for people will just point to the statistics and state "see? Women are just as violent as men! No need for single sex prisons".

FloralBunting · 26/06/2018 14:11

Tara, does anyone here give the impression they aren't shocked by the violence?
The reason it is important to use reality to describe reality is because these are clearly not women, and claiming they are has implications regarding accurate reporting of stats and therefore necessary provision of safety etc.
Not to mention the stupidity of trying to pretend a big bruising man in a bad wig and a mini skirt kicking seven bells out of a prone man is a 'woman'.

Mummyoflittledragon · 26/06/2018 14:12

Tara
Ffs of course we are shocked. We also are totally fucked off that the media are reporting these vile and extremely violent attacks as being perpetrated by natal women.

InfiniteSheldon · 26/06/2018 14:13

I've emailed a complaint and yes we are all shocked at the level of violence and are fully entitled on the Feminist board to discuss the grossly unfair attributing of said violence to women. We need to defend ourselves:crime statistics, education, health care funding, medical research, safe spaces and many other ramifications of misgendering that are detrimental to us will be irrevocably changed.

Mummyoflittledragon · 26/06/2018 14:14

And I forgot to add even more incandescent that they are being reported as such by the authorities, which puts women in danger!

AsAProfessionalFekko · 26/06/2018 14:16

Can we have a rousing rendition of...

‘Ooooooohhhhhhhhh
The king is in the all together,
The all together, the all together...’
