Reading the fawning responses you’d think this person had been assaulted or worse.

And not a thought for the women in the toilets who might have felt uncomfortable. There never is.

What a surprise - this person is taking up a space for a woman on a forthcoming panel.
Being trans really does give you royalty/gangster status, doesn’t it?

Yes - did you see the photos? Can you imagine either of the women being taken seriously if they had pulled that duck face pose?

raining hope your son is ok Flowers

I've noticed a lot of people in this thread using 'they' and 'she' pronouns for this person, who I understand to be male.

Is this part of the new rules? Because it's a MAJOR problem and this sort of case is exactly why. Forcing people to use incorrect pronouns is part of the gaslighting/brainwashing thing.

These two sentences create very different impressions and for very good reason:

"She was told she was not allowed to use the women's room and the bouncer forcibly removed her." - That's an outrage!

"He was told he was not allowed to use the women's room and the bouncer forcibly removed him." - Well, yeh, of course.

Even if we intellectually understand that this person is male using the incorrect pronouns out of politeness or conformity to rules can't help but create cognitive dissonance that makes it hard to think clearly and critically.

There's a three deleted posts and you're suspended and maybe banned policy, people are trying to avoid that happening. Everyone has not suddenly forgotten that humans are a sexually dimorphic species.

SoddingUnicorns · 24/06/2018 15:48

@Bloodmagic I have to say I was trying to avoid a ban. I don’t choose to refer to them as her, and I’m not happy about being forced to.

Especially when there’s talk of having to provide evidence of disability (in my case autism) to mitigate accidentally saying something I shouldn’t but it would appear if I declared I was a man I could say what I wanted!

gryffen · 24/06/2018 15:55

We are having massive training sessions with our door supervisors about this as it's not the first time a GN individual has come to us and said a woman has assaulted them or asked them to leave - all our areas are GN toilets but are regularly patrolled by our trained staff who are cleaners/door staff/support staff and they radio us immediately if issues - unfortunately about 70% of the complaints are shite and proven when we take them into our control room and get them to ID the individual before looking at CCTV outside the loos.

The law needs tightened up, we are all for equal opportunities but it's down to individual interpretation due to the wording.

Poster who's son was assaulted - I hope he is okay, been dealing with many such instances as a DS and it's crap the police can't deal with it - complain if he has been seriously injured and look around for CCTV that could be used.

My first deletion, how exciting! For calling a man male Hmm

As I said:

Welcome to the new masters, looking suspiciously similar to the old masters

Lifesavingorange · 24/06/2018 17:50

I’ve just had my second deletion for something similarly innocuous and factual.

People like Clymer depend on businesses not wanting bad publicity. Raging narcissists and abusers win this PR game almost every time no matter how horribly they behave. That is why the police should always be called. They are not as easy to intimidate as business owners.
The bouncer probably won't need to remove Clymer and his willy from the ladies ever again because odds are they will never make it through the front door. 86

SoddingUnicorns · 24/06/2018 20:26

Jesus Christ. That’s terrifying. 4 years people have been using that hashtag and still, still it’s not over. I don’t know whether to cry or get fucking angry. Or both!

Lifesavingorange · 24/06/2018 20:57

It’s actually gone beyond parody now, hasn’t it? The free pass these bullies get as soon as they declare they are trans.

Ereshkigal · 24/06/2018 21:05

Have you RTFT fms? Perhaps do.

TerfsUp · 24/06/2018 21:16

It's Sunday evening so the usual suspects show up.

Lifesavingorange · 24/06/2018 21:20

Thanks for that link to Channel 4 - further evidence that some people are trying so hard to be open minded their brains have fallen out.

I suspect some of them only skim read the story but they are hard wired to see the word ‘trans’ and respond Pavlov style with some variation on ‘brave, inspirational, bigots, hate’, etc. So devoid of any critical thinking.

OP posts:
Lifesavingorange · 24/06/2018 21:30

People are just vomiting virtue onto the page in their tweets. It’s hard to believe it isn’t ironic. But it isn’t. They are actually applauding this privileged bully for behaving like a privileged bully and calling them brave.

Unbelievable, how many stupid people are out there.

OP posts:
Italiangreyhound · 24/06/2018 21:40

Schroll down far enough on the tweets and you get to the facts of the matter. It's Clymer. Well known.

@Lifesavingorange 'Thanks for that link to Channel 4 - further evidence that some people are trying so hard to be open minded their brains have fallen out.'

So true!

ChiefClerkDrumknott · 25/06/2018 12:42

I have a Pavlov reaction of Stunning and Brave /s when I see videos like that

Amalfimamma · 26/06/2018 18:50

Am 8 the only one who finds it strange that Clymer was asked to. Leave a toilet right after trips sidekick was asked to. Leave a restaurant and the news picked it up all. Over the world?

Or is it just a coincidence?

SoddingUnicorns · 26/06/2018 18:53

I wondered the same.

Amalfimamma · 26/06/2018 19:01

Thank God sodding thought I was just getting cynical
