Oh my god, of course it’s CLYMER. It’s already been mentioned, but this individual’s background is so relevant to this. Clymer used to run one of the largest feminist groups online, and they ruled it with an iron fist. Clymer literally said in an interview that their primary ambition was to become a top feminist icon, and they had great plans back then to become the number one go to male feminist. This plan was actually going well for a time- They got TV interviews and an op ed column. But it all went to shit when it was revealed that Clymer for years had engaged in sexual harassment and extreme bullying of women involved in his feminist group. Clymer would pressure group admins for sex, then send relentless threatening messages when they declined. A bunch of women formed a hashtag “stop Clymer”, which still exists, and a picture began to build of a horribly controlling, anti feminist male who simply used feminist credentials as a way to get power and sex.
Clymer would also go into rages when women disagreed with him. Clymer once posted something like “periods are magical and beautiful”, and a bunch of women replied with “lol no they’re not.” Clymer banned them all from the group. Clymer had an absolutely huge hatred of women saying stuff like “well, you’re a man so you should defer to what the women are saying.” I guess women can’t use that line anymore.
Clymer was hounded out of fresh feminist community and lost all their media gigs, due to growing reports of abuse. This individual is now attempting a comeback.
