Reading the fawning responses you’d think this person had been assaulted or worse.

And not a thought for the women in the toilets who might have felt uncomfortable. There never is.

This person and their cohort consider intruding on women's sex segregated spaces to be an act of civil disobedience in an effort to get the laws changed so that women saying no is a hate crime

Exactly! Although sadly it appears to have worked in that State.

thebewilderness · 23/06/2018 21:44

Clymer has a lot in common with and is almost as infamous as Hugo Schwyzer.

SoddingUnicorns · 23/06/2018 21:44

So, put down your pitchfork

Charming. Labelling people and being snide while defending the rights of those who seek to erase the rights of women completely?

Tell me, “within the law” how do you feel about the physical attacks on women by activists? Rape threats, intimidation, attacks by people who are physically an intact male?

Because that’s hardly “within the law” is it?

People in glass houses and all that....

thebewilderness · 23/06/2018 21:45

DC is not a state.

nNina22 · 23/06/2018 21:45

When did all this become a thing?
I read about it in social media but so far it hasn’t appeared in my world

spontaneousgiventime · 23/06/2018 21:45

Massivelyouting I don't have a pitchfork, just a sabre which I rattle a lot. I know Voltaire, shocking innit?

How do they have their own laws then? I didn’t realise they weren’t a state, sorry.

thebewilderness · 23/06/2018 21:46

Massivelyouting
If you keep goading people they will start reporting it.

SoddingUnicorns · 23/06/2018 21:47

But that doesn’t excuse this person having their legal rights denied

I cannot express strongly enough how much I do not give a shit about that person. Because I cannot be doing with people who attack and bully and revel in attention while keeping a boot on the neck of women.

thebewilderness · 23/06/2018 21:47

They have city government and the US Congress controls their laws.

Sodding absolutely not, which is why I am postulating strong sex segregation in areas where it would be necessary like single sex wards, toilets that aren’t single cubicles, prisons, sleeping spaces for children etc

How long before they start on that? They’re already pushing for self ID to mean all of that becomes irrelevant, refuges can’t be just for women, rape suites would have to include someone with a penis, even cervical smears because it’s “part of being a woman”.

So please, don’t pretend it’s moderate or optional. Because we all know it is absolutely not.

spontaneousgiventime · 23/06/2018 21:49

How about morally Massivelyouting?

thebewilderness · 23/06/2018 21:49

But that doesn’t excuse this person having their legal rights denied.

In DC the restaurants and bars have an absolute right to refuse service to anyone.

SoddingUnicorns · 23/06/2018 21:49

@thebewilderness thanks, I’m embarrassed I didn’t know that.

Whether the law is wrong or not is another issue - but legally, in the jurisdiction where they are - they’re in the legal right

Uh huh. You’ve said.

So the law must be upheld at any cost?

Because gay couples would be in jail if the law had never changed, they wouldn’t be able to marry, women wouldn’t have the vote, black people in the US would still be segregated.

Following the law “just because” is a fool’s game, as the above examples prove.

spontaneousgiventime · 23/06/2018 21:51

Ok Massivelyouting So it's all about legal rights of people who present as opposite to their birth sex and stuff those of us who just have to put up with it.

Got ya!
