I am an adult human female.

Something a man can never be.

Sometimes said with deep contempt and misogyny.

I have a vagina and uterus.

I menstruate and have given birth.

I am a mother.

Something a male will never be.

I have been insulted, assaulted, belittled, dismissed, held back, intimidated, stereotyped, terrorised, mocked, shamed, humiliated because I am a woman.

Something a male can never be.

I feel insulted, appropriated, offended, anxious, tense, depressed, hurt and under siege, when a male claims to be a woman or anyone says a male can be female.

It is not civil or respectful to treat me this way.

I am a woman.

Woman is not a feeling that you can ‘be’ if you choose.

Woman is not an identity.

Woman is not a novelty of dresses and glitter and sparkles and lipstick.

Woman is not an award on the cover of Glamour magazine.

Woman is not an option on a gender identification list.

Woman is not trivial, inconvenient.

Women with voices, with intellect, with knowledge, who state scientific fact, who speak the truth, will not be silenced because men demand it.

Woman is biological fact. Biology can not be changed.

Although I am a mother I have never been pregnant so I would never claim to know what it feels like to be pregnant or to give birth.

I don't really know what it 'feels' to 'be a woman'.
I only know what it feels to be me.

But I know I am a woman because I am an adult human female.

I want my daughters to grow up in a society that recognises and accepts the biological differences between men and women, protects the vulnerable, and also allows everyone to be the best humans they can be.

Oh and, males can never be female, though that should be bloody obvious.

I am spartacus. My rapist preyed on me because I was a young vulnerable female. He picked me because of my body not my lady brain. I cannot identify out of my oppression. Men can never feel what it is to be a woman. We are not responsible for their delusion and I will not collude with the erasure of my sex.

What have I missed?
I am Spartacus and will say "Trans Identified Male" not transwoman, because it doesn't include the word "woman" which is basically theft of a word, when it's expected to be applied to a male.

But... why another Spartacus?

I will always argue for the right of anyone to, without predjudice wear whatever clothing, do whatever jobs, have whatever favourite colour and decor, enjoy whatever hobbies - shaking off the expectations off gender and being yourself is important and should be expected.

This does not mean that gender related preferences change sex and sex matters, it really matters.

I will always support access to counselling and mental health support to all who have a strong internal conflict between their physical reality and how they would wish that reality to be and those have distorted views of their physical reality.

I do believe this makes me sparticus too.

That said, it’s clear that most trans people find the use of pronouns or names that they or others have consciously rejected, to be hurtful and would therefore struggle to engage in a discussion with those who insist on using them. The same is true of the expression ‘Trans-Identified Male’ or ‘TIM’. Likewise, many feminists are affronted by the term ‘cis’ and ‘terf’, so using these terms will make civil debate less likely. As we’ve said, context is everything – but it’s likely that going forward our moderation team will delete these expressions.

We’ll be introducing a three strikes system whereby users deleted more than three times in any rolling six week period will have their membership automatically suspended and we’ll then take a view as to whether they will have membership reinstated.

Of course we do but history teaches us that failure to object is assumed to be acquiescence, so we stand up and speak up to say no we do not submit to male dominance. Not now not ever.

Human beings are sexually dimorphic. Human beings cannot change sex.

Women and girls are oppressed because of our biology, the objective material reality of our own bodies.

Ah that explanation seems fair enough. Especially with 'cis' and 'terf' being effectively banned too. Having said that, one of the things I liked most about this forum is how..unmoderated it is. You can speak your mind here more than anywhere I have ever posted before. Yes some moderation happened, but its never ever been as much as there appears to be since transactivists turned their eye here. It kind of seems like capitulating to bullies, however I do think it is fair that if TIM is banned, cis and terf are too.

I don't get what those who refuse to use the term transwoman will use now though. Maybe transgender male person? I am fine using transwoman myself, but I know some people are against it for their own reasons.
