Twitter story on Julia Hartley-Brewer talk Radio this morning

I'm not sure if I believe this Huntley 'deadnaming' story. If Twitter were taking action about it wouldn't it be all over the right wing media by now?

There were links on the thread I linked to but the person who did all the reporting has protected their tweets. So I guess no screenshots but I saw the tweets. Someone will have taken some though

The account that did the reporting told another account that it would be reported for "deadnaming" Huntley. The same account then posted a screenshot that the report (for the same account it had said it had reported) had been upheld by Twitter.

So was there evidence or just someone saying 'Yes, I got banned for it'? What makes me sceptical is that it's perfect let's create a Twitter storm material and, as I mentioned before, I haven't seen any coverage by any half decent news organisation.

The person who has now protected their tweets posted screenshots of the posts they'd reported and the bans from twitter.

My immediate thought on that screenshot is that it is a montage. Taking a quick look at the content of the account mentioned there are any number of reasons why it could have been banned. All you have to do is take a breaking the rules grab (which doesn't say what you've done) put it with the appropriate message and there you go. I'll wait and see. Not going to take this as gospel based on someone's Twitter claim.

Good grief. I can't believe I'm reading this.

In another triumph, the Lib Dems make Guido Fawkes by not only criticising those 'dead naming' Ian Huntley but also explicitly saying that transwomen should be placed in women's prisons.

All under the guise of Liberalism but still, the traffic seems very one-way with them right now.

The weird thing is that the twitter account Xyrcoups that reported Spygirl for misgendering Mx Huntley was generally considered to be a parody of a transactivist and not the real thing.

For the same reasons stated before. I don't blindly swallow what someone on Twitter says. It could be true but who knows at the moment?

Alisdair Calder McGregor - is quite clearly a twat - who cares not whether women are put at risk as long as he can virtuously signal his incredibly uber tolerant liberal credentials.

There's a special place in hell for men like him - who would put a child-killer's "gender identity" above women's safety.
