The responses are a bunch of straight 'cis' men displaying obvious transphobia. I wonder if the TRAs will tell them to DIAF, or threat to rape them? Given lesbians are ordered to 'love the ladystick', or suffer the consequences, I am very curious to see what consequences befall straight men.

The “true comparison” is between the treatment of lesbians who say they would not date/have sex with transwomen because they are male; and the treatment of men who say they would not date/have sex with transwomen because they are male.

Two groups of people saying the exact same thing about transwomen, yet one group gets piled on and another group does not.

I did, just for one foolish moment, consider verifying on google that the stories about some men and hoovers are correct BeyondSceptical. Sense prevailed though and I'm leaving that well alone.

All those people expecting other people to be complicit in their illusion, sitting by the sea shore like King Canute willing the sea not to come in, then being really upset when, not surprisingly, the other people say no (sometimes deliberately choosing the most offensive way of saying no they can) or worse, use them sexually, then say afterwards "ha ha, I'm actually a straight man, the joke's on you."

And this is all on the heads of the TRAs, for encouraging people in their delusions with stupid slogans like "transwomen are women, transmen are men."

Indeed we are Freias, which was my point in sharing that tweet. I knew there would be no consequences for the males on that thread - but by hell there would have been a pile-on for lesbians if they had an entire thread exactly like that.

But I am half hoping the TRAs do get wind of it, and try it. See how well it plays out... methinks not-so-well.

That's the equivalent to saying that a gay couple are not really married because they can't have children. It's prejudiced and simply wrong. Just as your claim about trans women.

It's exactly not like a gay couple that is married because they can of course have children for starters unless the only kids you accept are those born to a married man and woman (how traditional of you) and then many couples cannot have children but are of course just as married as couples with kids.

But most importantly your comparison sucks because neither of the gay men in your daft example is pretending to be anything other than what he is - a man in a same-sex relationship. Very much unlike the transwomen pretending they are actual women in a heterosexual encounter/relationship with a man.

They won't, for two reasons: 1) they are only interested in controlling women, and 2) they don't want to turn men hostile because that would reduce their chance of succeeding in destroying women's rights.
