What i find unclear is that both articles (the DM one and the January Indie one) state that the women's pond 'has made the decision' to admit men transitioning to women.

The Indie article then says the City of London undertook this.

Is there a committee for the Kenwood pond that made the decision, or was it unilaterally imposed by City of London, as operators of the pond?

I was a bit disappointed that they didn't blame the whole PC gorn mad stuff on Jeremy Corbyn though. They usually do.

As I understand it there were complaints to the Kenwood ladies pond committee about people with male bodies going into the ladies pond. Their response was to allow male bodied “women” in officially in the face of resistance.

The byelaws (I’ve learned to spell this since yesterday) don’t match the rules at the ladies pond. And by calling the police the men’s pool seek to exclude female bodied “men”.

Tony Blair is still throwing shade, based on this morning’s comments. The DM’s readers really know how to hold a grudge.

I read the DM article when there was a fuss over men being able to self-identify into a female carriage on the Caledonia Sleeper. The article managed to paint Corbyn as the villain of the piece, despite him having no involvement in that particular incident.

There was an article about the actual incident and then an insert:

That's partially why the right wing papers are interested; it is a means to stick the boot into Corbyn. Who deserves it.

Total respect to the ponds protesters. I think the DM article is remarkably good actually. It will have massively raised the profile of the proposed changes and consultation, and the manfriday movement, to many people who probably have been completely unaware of the debate (and importantly to many MEN).

"They aren't men!" should be put on a t shirt. Love the mankini, particularly contrasting with the completely unthreatening flowery t shirt and shorts worn in the after photo.
