Probably going to get shot down massively here but a simple question clearly there is a lot of hate for men wanting to be women, but nothing about women becoming men. Do you also frown upon this or is it ok and for what reason?

@Nogodsnomasters You cant follow the strands of the debate if it isnt linear?

You are the one demanding women accept TIMS as women, so what do you actually mean when you say that?

Pseudonymium · 20/05/2018 00:55

Science is evidence based. What science are you referring to?

Terfulike · 20/05/2018 00:55

Basically why do most trans women want to be models and most trans men want to be soldiers. It makes no sense based on what you're saying. To me it looks like they think they can only be a real soldier as a man or a real model as a woman

Datun · 20/05/2018 00:56

...but a trans-woman isn’t a man. She just has the misfortune to be born with a male body.

That's what sex means. The confusion arises when people don't understand the definition of the word sex. It is a description of potential reproductive function. That's it. Just a description.

@daktun oooh the only psychos are men, and there we have it, back to the true roots of this board.... Man hating

Not 'the only', just 98% of the time, as I said.

But 'man hating' is it? Gosh I do hope you are not another MRA who enjoys poker.

@Nogodsnomasters
Because if trans women are women, then they can be Girl Guide leaders.
And they can use women's Rape Crisis and DV shelters.
And they can be placed on womens mental health and hospital wards.

Do you see how that works?

LightofaSilveryMoon · 20/05/2018 00:59

Men should be able to present themselves however they want, wear whatever they want, make-up or no make-up, pretty dresses or suits or jeans, whatever, etc. etc. - and not be harassed and/or discriminated against for doing so.

Women have need of sex-segregated places where men, any men, are not allowed, *because of women's biology".

Terfulike · 20/05/2018 01:00

Or maybe they're so determined to be seen as men or women that that is all that matters to them. I wonder if they were Robinson crushed. I wonder if the hormone injections would slip even if they had a lifetimes supply. I'm not including dysphoria here by the way.

Supermatch game
Sadly I won't. I will still see them as women who had to change to get some form of respect. I see them as female bodied people who had to transition to at least have a hope in competing in a very male dominated environment. Fair play to them but in the locker room biological males will always feel superior in my opinion. I know plenty females who are in the services. They have to fight their corner everyday for equality. I also know they are respected for this. Show me these woman. But if you want to give me a reality check it would be more prudent to do this from an ordinary perspective as what you showed me was not typical of the general public. Give me examples of normality.

thebewilderness · 20/05/2018 01:03

This thread is going to be cheese fondue by morning because of all the abusive language the godless one has used throughout.

OrderMeAnotherCurry · 20/05/2018 01:07

For them their intersex condition is that their sense of self, the who they are, does not correspond with their physical reality.

This is why everyone hates us.

Terfulike · 20/05/2018 01:10

Exactly truth will
We need examples of the blue rinse brigade transwomen.
We need examples of fifty something transwomen like me. Who slob around without makeup but you never see them.

Pseudonymium · 20/05/2018 01:11

It is what sex means, and when everything is in alignment a woman has a female body that’s fertile, is attracted to men (not all men) and has never questioned whether she’s a woman.
A man has a male body, is attracted to women (no quite all women) and has never questioned whether he’s a man.

But sometimes things don’t align.

SupermatchGame · 20/05/2018 01:12

Truth I think my point was that I don't believe the majority of people would laugh at these trans men as you suggested. I think in day to day life if they hadn't been 'out' then most people would just have taken them as men. And even knowing their histories I think they are respected by their colleagues, male and female. Perhaps I have too much faith in human nature, or maybe just more than you do.

Terfulike · 20/05/2018 01:12

We need some transwomen who have read the beauty myth and stopped supporting the way women are told they must look. But we always get the stereo types

Terfulike · 20/05/2018 01:15

Feeling like Robinson crushed here. Are my points really not worth addressing?

They too can tell you which sex they are, but their bodies contradict them.

I'm a transwoman and I can pretty confidently tell you that my sex is male. No amount of surgery or hormones will change that either.

Can you imagine how distressing it is for a girl to grow a beard and have her voice break, or a boy to start having periods and breast development.

Considering those things are impossible then I'm going to say that it would be very distressing. It would also be a medical wonder.

She just has the misfortune to be born with a male body.

My male body was never a misfortune.

I might have felt like it was but it was my thought processing that was wrong.

My body however was never wrong.

She will tell you that if only you’ll listen.

Some transwomen will tell you this.

Lots however will not.

I'm a transwoman and I will certainly not tell anyone this because it is neither my truth or something I can relate to or recognise.

Transwomen are not a hive mind. We are all individuals with our own feelings, thoughts, opinions and reasons for choosing to/needing to go down this path.

Pseudonymium · 20/05/2018 01:17

All transgender people suffer sender dysphasia. Are you suggesting that transvestites and drag queens want to become women? If so you are wrong. Unless they also summer with gender dysphasia, most transvestites and drag queens identify as men and would not wish to change their gender.

OrderMeAnotherCurry · 20/05/2018 01:17

I like your username @Pseudonymium. It fits you perfectly.

OrderMeAnotherCurry · 20/05/2018 01:19

All transgender people suffer sender dysphasia

Not according to trans activists.

In fact suggesting that one has to have dysphoria in order to be trans would be considered very transphobic of you.

LightofaSilveryMoon · 20/05/2018 01:20

That comment by Pseudonymium:
It is what sex means, and when everything is in alignment a woman has a female body that’s fertile, is attracted to men (not all men) ......

Is that an incel comment? (Incel =Involuntarilyy celibate male)? A group of men who are known to hate women enough to kill them?

Maryz · 20/05/2018 01:20

I can't imagine how distressing it is for a boy to start having periods and breast development. I can, however, imagine how distressing it is for many girls, myself included, to have these things happen to them.

Puberty is, for many teenagers, fucking distressing Hmm

But having a distressing puberty, not wanting to have body changes and hormone surges, doesn't mean a teenager is trans. It means that puberty is fucking distressing.

I'm a woman who would much rather have been a man. But I wasn't because of biology.

Terfulike · 20/05/2018 01:20

Pseudo
That's exactly what I think eg Pipsicle Bruce

Pseudonymium · 20/05/2018 01:20

You don’t see them because you already accept them as women. This is the reality for most trans women. They are not interested in political activism. They just want to live their lives as the women they have struggled to become, and forget about their former misfortunes.
