The erasure of lesbians by the transcult - 'How to have lesbian sex with a transwoman' NSFW

This is an article explaining (graphically!) how a lesbian should have sex with a person with a penis. So a man.

www.autostraddle.com/how-to-have-trans-woman-lesbian-sex-with-a-penis-414839/amp/

This is part of a series called Lesbian Sex 101: "Employment of the term “lesbian sex” in this post uses “lesbian” as an adjective to describe sex between two women or people who identify with that experience, regardless of the sexual orientation of the two people involved."

So basically, emphatically not lesbian sex, given that lesbian sex is sex between two biological women who don't have penises.

I've got unusally large hands. DH doesn't fit in one of my hands. Apologies for tmi.

I stopped reading Autostraddle a few years ago. Looks like it's got even worse since then. Sad

It reminds me of this article I read recently on how the 'lesbian' media is now run by non-lesbians spreading harmful messages, particularly to young lesbians.

One of the difficulties is that, as she says in the article, we have "the illusion of a voice". To those on the outside, it seems like there are still lesbian magazines, lesbian websites, lesbian social groups, lesbian club nights, organisations which defend our rights etc but, in reality, it's all been taken over by people who hate us and think homosexuality is morally wrong.

That's awful, Lazy.

PositivelyPERF · 13/05/2018 00:26

That’s actually heartbreaking Lazy. I’m a straight woman but that actually really upset me and I’m so so sorry my lesbian sisters are going through this.

thebewilderness · 13/05/2018 02:17

It isn't as though they hide it, but people don't notice because it says it's for women, right? All the women's magazines are owned and operated by men.

Ereshkigal · 13/05/2018 02:21

That awful Bustle, that was set up by men. It's like the Women's March of magazines. Or the Shon Faye Amnesty Women's History event of magazines.

I clicked on a link to that website somewhere else then saw this thread. At first it seemed to be an attempt at goady satire...
My understanding is a lesbian is a female who exclusively fancies other females?
It's a shame dickwads are swamping the www with this shit. I've always got on with most ( 99.9% - there's always someone who doesn't like the look of you) lesbians just fine whether they're butch, femme or whatever. Including my best friend at uni years ago who was also instrumental in helping me to come out as mtf trans. A delightfully acid tongued mini butch with a huge quiff.
If a woman fancies a penis weilding trans then she simply isn't a lesbian. Maybe bi, pan or some other label, but not lesbian. At least that's how it's seemed to be for the last 25 years on the LGB scene...

Devilishpyjamas · 13/05/2018 06:39

I got as far as the first line: “Some lesbian, bisexual and queer women have penises” and fell down the rabbit hole.

Devilishpyjamas · 13/05/2018 06:46

Well quite Poula. My understanding is a lesbian is a female who exclusively fancies other females
My understanding as well. God knows why there’s this drive to claim all exclusive female language. There’s that quote (of someone else) doing the Facebook rounds at the moment about not using ‘mother’ because not all who get pregnant are women. Er yes they are - unless you’re a seahorse (in which case you don’t really get pregnant).

PoulaFisch · 13/05/2018 06:59

@Devilishpyjamas
Consider deleting FB and Twatter. It worked for me. ;) My trans only peaks when I visit forums. I just can't resist clicking in those links and reading with one eye...

AngryAttackKittens · 13/05/2018 07:00

What a lesbian is hasn't changed, though not for lack of effort on the part of men both dress wearing and non.

The whole way pomo influenced people frame sexuality is a bit brain in a jar, they don't seem to quite get the fact that sex is a physical thing that involves your body and therefore the body is kind of important.

Devilishpyjamas · 13/05/2018 07:14

Ha - I am very careful with who I follow on Twatter Poula Grin
