This 12 yo thing.
Saying that objecting to 12yo girls being married off (euphemism for raped) is colonial nonsense.
What he means, really
Is that the idea that 12yo girls are actual whole people who deserve to be afforded human rights, and not just sex / work / breeding objects
Is a recent / "western" phenomenon
And who is to say which view is right? Maybe the correct view is that 12yo girls are sex and work and breeding objects, not full people, and not worthy of human rights
This is a debate he believes is worth having, because, he thinks that there is merit in that view of 12 yo girls.
You can think for yourself why he and dr christian feel that there is a worthwhile debate there.
You see. They only see things from a male perspective. What do men want? In X country they want to "marry" 12yo girls. So, let's talk.
Like the watching porn in schools thing. I saw that on the telly. Was going on about it at my husband.
Vast majority of porn is highly msogynistic, it depicts men "doing stuff" to young women, and it's all about the man, most does not even pretend that the woman is enjoying it, it's a display of sexual domination. What will it say to a class full of boys and girls, making them sit down to watch that together? The boys and girls in a classroom setting, watching young women get essentially abused on screen?
The women on the panel were ???
He said (or another bloke, can't remember) that it would be really good as the teacher could have a conversation with the boys and reassure them about their penis size. Yes becasue obviously that's the most important thing. ALL about males, their view, their experience, woman and girls as objects, 2D, not real, supporting actors in the male lead's story.
