@OleannisWimple Mumsnet is an open forum - anyone can read posts. In order to report you need an account, and not everyone wants to sign up

@whoositwotsit - this is so disingenuous, I can't tell whether you really believe it... At the bottom of every single MN page there is a "Contact Us" link.

Go on, look down there

Right at the bottom

Past all the shortcuts

Here's the link in case you just want to click on it: www.mumsnet.com/info/contact

There are loads of ways to get in touch with MN privately and without creating an account, including email. In case you still haven't seen it, or for the benefit of anyone reading this who is struggling it's [email protected]

Easy peasy, no doxxing, no death threats. Just a simple "if you see something that concerns you, email MN to let them know"

And you conveniently disregarded the second part of my post so I'll ask again: Have you apologised to the two MNers who have been particularly badly affected by this? Particularly the one who received death threats and ill-wishes to her unborn baby?

If you haven't apologised to them, why the hell not?

It's a bit odd of someone who is allegedly a member of MN and has been for 3 years to go to all the trouble of setting up a dedicated twitter account rather than simply reporting posts Hmm

You don't need to post in order to report. You don't need to provide personal information when you sign up. Much easier and more privacy for yo7 to do that, rather than setting up something special on another forum. Anyone acting in good faith to 'help' MN would have signed up and just reported directly.

JustABrokenDoll · 04/05/2018 00:05

@whoositwotsit

The real burning question for me is ... why did Boy George block you?

Amalfimamma · 04/05/2018 00:10

@JustABrokenDoll

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

And I don't care if the emojis are seen as "unmumsnetty".

leyat · 04/05/2018 00:12

@whoositwhatsit you said that you only report hate speech, but so-called 'misgendering', naming biology, and understanding that gender isn't innate, is not hate speech. We have done nothing illegal, and no form of action could be taken against us on any basis for what we have said. So please, since you disagree, name one single comment you think is hate speech. I dare you.

InLoveWithDavidTennant · 04/05/2018 00:50

Just caught up on the other thread. Fucking hell!

That aint no feminist, thats a 🐍

Pythagonal · 04/05/2018 01:02

@whoositwhatsit

If setting up this Twitter account isn't about shutting down debate, why have you blocked numerous people?

dinosaurkisses · 04/05/2018 01:50

Whoositwhatsit - I'm fairly certain you carried out your little crusade under the misapprehension that you will be under the right side of history. Please do not consider us "your people" - you have risked a member's personal safety by your ineffectual grandstanding. Whatever community that MN has is completely undermined by what you have done.

@MumsnetHQ - this has gone too far now. This is the second time in three weeks that your members have been targeted outside the forum using screenshots of posts made in anonymity. What are you going to do about it? Make Feminism Chat a closed forum seems like the only answer.

I've been a member for around six years and started lurking before that as a childless uni student. I've bought from your advertisers, I've used your product reviews, and I've contributed to the MN community. Should I just delete my account and old (identifying) posts to fuck off to Reddit's Gender Critical board?

MonsoonMama · 04/05/2018 02:27

Hmmm, this all smacks suspiciously of a damage limitation exercise... I note Shon Faye has removed all of Shon Faye's tweets/retweets about/connected to the Mumsnet Transphobia Twitter account (the setting up of which was nothing at all to do with Shon Faye Hmm) ... And they got locked out of the account. And then they shut it down because of "personal threatening messages"... Hmm My guess is they realised that singling out Mumsnetters and labelling them as transphobic on a public forum for stating biological/scientific/legal facts - FACTS - is defamatory.

Mypronounsarepinkmacaron · 04/05/2018 05:32

Whoositwhatsit - We are not your people. Please know that.

And you are no feminist. By turning on other women and cosying up to misogynist men who wish women harm, you are literally the opposite of a feminist. You are a men’s rights activist.

I hope you’re proud.

Sounds so utterly Male. Like really abusive in the tweets.

I hope her conscience really really plays havoc with her happiness.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 04/05/2018 07:28

I really don't get how any woman could look at how transactivists treat women and continue to support them. That includes women on their own side. Watch - if Magdalen Berns' words are too much for your fragile sensitivities, @Whoositwhatsit, watch it with the sound turned off. Fast forward to 3m 34s and you will see how one of the young women on the side of the TRAs at Hyde Park Corner last year was aggressively threatened by one of the other activists and forced to back off.

Look at this one - . Julie Bindel and others on their way into a perfectly lawful public meeting to talk about how a mooted change in the law would affect women and girls. Masked and hooded transactivists blocking their path.

This is what you choose to support? If you have any concern for other women at all you should have given a bit of thought to the implications of what you've done for their personal safety.

CATTinahat · 04/05/2018 07:55

Whositwhatsit.

This site is to be kept to higher standards? So you admit freely this was nothing to do with being the most transphobic place on the internet and all about women not being allowed to talk.

And you actively sought out abusive men and invited them to contribute? I think I’ve seen it all now.

TERFragetteCity · 04/05/2018 08:06

It is absolutely reprehensible behaviour.

LangCleg · 04/05/2018 08:08

Are we encouraging this horrible person to come back?

MrsWooster · 04/05/2018 08:16

What an indictment of the TRA argument that they try to claim the high ground and within hours reveal the truth about themselves by threatening women and an unborn child. They chose a widely read public forum and 12 million users are you. We see you.

SF has a habit of causing pile ons to vulnerable women then deleting the evidence.
