What on earth is with the kicking off about no trans people in the media? Given selfID is desirable, how does Shon know there are no trans people in the media (ignoring the trans people we know are in the media)? Anyone could be trans, as all they have to do is say so. Also apparently many trans people are stealth and pass 100%. So again, how does Shon know that there are none? Finally, if 'transwomen are women'...there are many women in the media. Not as many as there are men mind you, but plenty.

The issue of transmisogyny, which I understand is the 'privilege' of those people who identify as trans men (so born female?) over trans women was also a key point within some NUS discussions/policies (?)
