More ponderings on boundary violations..
I've been thinking about the body dysphoria bind - ie- needing to prove you have 'lived as' the opposite sex for 2 years in order to get hormones/surgery/GRC
A change needs to occur.
The medical professionals need to emphasise that proof of having 'violated women's boundaries' should not be a pre-requisite for getting hormones and surgery - there should be other ways of assessing if the body dysphoria is so persistent that life-changing hormones and surgery are a 'sensible' option.
For example keeping a diary of thoughts and feelings about one's body, or having ongoing therapy for dysphoria, that kind of thing, as proof of a psychological condition.
Needing proof of having made other people pretend against their wishes or proof of having persistently entered women's spaces you are not entitled to enter, is institutionalising the violation of women's boundaries and the gaslighting of others, and is completely unacceptable.
If the kind of proof required changed from 'living as' to 'definitely having a persistent dysphoria' it would mean that the genuinely dysphoric would be able to deal with their condition with the more extreme end of interventions, without encroaching upon women.
IMO GRCs are unethical and should be scrapped - since they are a legal license to violate, lie, gaslight and usurp.
