Bloody hell. Shocking. I just read through the comments and there are still people on there trying to claim there isn't a serious and systemic problem with antisemitism in the Labour Party. And Corbyn left because he didn't want to hear it.

Rape threats to female MPs and to male MPs' family members. On top of the threats of rape and violence to gender critical feminists. I'm spoiling my ballot paper next month, I guess. No matter how decent my MP and local councillors are (and they are - old school Labour with a good track record) I cannot vote for Corbyn and his bully boys.

This is antisemitism weaponised as a stick to beat Corbyn with. The problem here is that there is strong support for the Palestinians on the left of the party, and strong support for Israel amongst Jewish Labour MPs who fear the party's swing to the left under Corbyn may shift the party's policy on Israel. Of course threats and abuse are unacceptable, but is there ANYONE in public life who doesn't receive them, from extremists and nutters of all kinds? What about the mega-tsunami of abuse targeted at Diane Abbott? Sending a jewish MP a dead bird in the post is horrible and hateful, but it isn't inherently antisemitic.

Corbyn hasn't a racist bone in his body. There's a clear parallel between this and the transgender madness: anyone who criticises the transgender narrative is 'transphobic', and anyone who criticises Israel's government is 'antisemitic'.

Just listening to John Mann, Luciana Berger and Ruth Smeet talking about their dreadful experiences of anti semitism and threats in the Labour party. I wonder whether Rowley was listening.

Rape threats, death threats and other abuse from random nutters is one horrific thing, from members of the party they're representing it's absolutely disgusting.

Dead birds have a mafia association. Not suggesting mafia involvement just historically it used to be a thing I believe.

RowleyBirkin - I've managed thirty years of being pro-Palestinian rights and highly critical of successive Israeli administrations without ever once being called anti-semitic. It's not an excuse.

Corbyn didn't even sit through all the speeches. The man is an idiot. He should have been there throughout and responded. He apparently left about half an hour in and came back later.
