Amy, the architect and hero of ManFriday has been invited on Good Morning Britain this morning. As far as we know the interview will be 7:40am. Please tune in.

I’ll take one for the team and watch from now, updating the thread when I see she comes on as it’s the very least I can do considering she is going up against Piers Morgan and Peter Tatchell.

Twitter comments are interesting. Many agreeing it's ridiculous, only a very few coming out with 'transphobic'.

Lots of people missing the point, but I think the prize for landing further away so far goes to this guy:

I disliked the way Jane Fae sat with arms on the table so as to block out Amy. It was done deliberately imho - JF is well versed in media appearances. But also delighted that the producers immediately shot to the other camera to counteract this.

Not watched it yet but checking in to show support.

Yes, everything about Jane Fae just screamed MAN!! The way he sat, talking over Amy...and what was with the outright lies??

JF thinks they are a woman, that to me is a MH symptom lie, the other lies support the gender lie, well that's my belief, others believe JF think I am a bigot and JF is a woman.

A lot of commenters have missed the point. They seem to think Amy was actually trying to infiltrate male-only spaces because she wanted to ID as a man, not because she's trying to protest it.

It's so under the radar of most men because it doesn't affect them and so they don't even know what's happening with the bill.

The comments on Twitter are quite interesting. A lot are missing the point but in doing so show how idiotic the situation is and people are starting to realise what this could mean for women. It is highlighting to men what this could mean. People are starting to wake up. Thank you Amy for doing this.

and I think Jane Faye's barracking and disingenuous comparisons about identifying as Piers Morgan etc did them no favours. They just added to the general impression that self id is ludicrous and opens a door to god knows what.

The self identification movement evidently already HAS allowed Amy to wander in to the men's, swim topless with men, just by say-So.

I would like to see more being made of this point and mention of the equality act and where it is permitted to exclude someone with a GRC from certain single sex provisions - which is already not being adhered to.

However, Amy is awesome and I have huge admiration for her strength in putting herself in the public eye and bringing this issue to the attention of many more people.

I think getting TRA TIMs on TV is a great thing - most people will look at them and think "that's a man, WTF" and then the penny might start to drop.

I felt the same about a segment linked to on hear yesterday, I don't remember anything about it except that it opens with a shot of Heather Peto striding through the streets, and then to a cafe where this man started out saying something like "I have been a woman for 20 years" - peak trans right there. I suspect many other people will just see and remember that section.

Quite a few comments on twitter, not quite peak trans but along the lines of 'I'm sick of this there's only 2 genders, male and female'.

Can someone on Twitter please please tweet Richard Herring about the swathes of men indignantly saying "what if the men did it..." - he might do a rehash of his IWD session and point out they ALREADY DID, FFS

My DH peak transed weeks ago but that video PeakPeak transed him. I also explained the “cotton ceiling” to him. He then wanted to know why these people aren’t in prison.
