To think that Labour thinks women are fecking eejits

They have delayed the announcement re transwomen on All Women Shortlists until June. Because they need to think hard on it.

But, oh, there are elections in England in May! Wouldn't it be nice if the lovely ladies would stop being obstreperous cunts for a wee while and voted for us in May.

Then we can nicely fuck them over in June, just before we all set off to Tuscany for the summer.

Lily Madigan, "Terfblocker" and Tris "you women have lost, and will lose a little more every day" Osborne are all arguing on Twitter.

Now Terfblocker has deleted their account.

LM is gloating, because they are such a nice person, and everyone loves a gloater.

They are literally eating themselves.

I will vote labour again when they scrap self-ID as a policy.

LangCleg · 18/03/2018 23:17

Just put this on another thread but I think it might be more appropriate here.

From the list of recommendations in Maria Miller's Transgender Equality Report:

22. We recommend that the Equality Act be amended so that the occupational requirements provision and / or the single-sex / separate services provision shall not apply in relation to discrimination against a person whose acquired gender has been recognised under the Gender Recognition Act 2004. (Paragraph 132)

The Tories have rolled back on this and are now saying in TV interviews and letters to constituents that they won't be amending the EA. Labour endorsed the report when it came out and haven't rolled back on a thing. Rather, as we've all seen, they've doubled down.

I do not consider the EA to be safe under a Labour government. This is why I left the party.

I will never, never, never, never vote for them until they have reversed course on this and done it openly, with apologies to women, and put in the manifesto in words of one syllable so they can't go back on it.

DamnDeDoubtanceIsSpartacus · 19/03/2018 06:47

Terf, what are they arguing about? i was blocked for asking a question.

Terftastic · 19/03/2018 10:38

It's bloody hilarious.

It's the funniest thing since ManFriday went swimming in the men's pool. (The funniest thing before that was the meeting going ahead in the HOC) Grin

Madigan tweeted something about neoliberals and rich cis white gay men being privileged and transphobic. So TERFblocker said "Hey, that's homophobic" - and Madigan talked about "naming oppression" - then a few others were charging in and all arguing - some getting agonising splinters on their bum at the sheer horror of the transphobe-homophobe war of Sunday March 18th 2018.

Then TERFblocker accidentally misgendered someone. Then I think TERFblocker actually blocked Madigan. Then TERFblocker deleted himself.

Sandy's done a fab cartoon.

Lots of people also commenting how rampant lesbophobia was just fine with old TERFblocker - but then Lily came for the gay cis men.....

OvaHere · 19/03/2018 10:40

I'm assuming Terfblocker is a cis gay man then. Not so great when the ideology turns on you is it?

Terftastic · 19/03/2018 10:45

Quite.

SandyDrawsBadly · 19/03/2018 14:34

It’s obvious now it was a gay man, and when it was hating on women, well he was totally cool with that homophobia, but picking on gay men. No.

Interesting also, that LM called the, rich cis white gay men, and tb took out the cis.

Not so nice when it’s directed at you eh TB?

Ereshkigal · 19/03/2018 14:43

Love the cartoon Sandy Grin

Ereshkigal · 19/03/2018 14:45

Interesting also, that LM called the, rich cis white gay men, and tb took out the cis.

Lol was he trying to suggest trans "men" were involved? With their oodles of male privilege.

KochabRising · 19/03/2018 14:48

The Tories have rolled back on this and are now saying in TV interviews and letters to constituents that they won't be amending the EA.

Is this definite langcleg? Any formal commitment to it? I’m very reluctant to vote Tory but to me this is such a huge issue that it might come to that.

Not much of a choice is it? Eradication of protection for women or destruction of social justice :(

OvaHere · 19/03/2018 14:51

Given that most of the ire is focused on Labour at the moment I think they are keeping their heads down and hoping no one asks them any difficult questions.

Terftastic · 19/03/2018 14:54

At the moment I'm so pissed off I'd vote Tory just to piss off the lefty Dude-Bros.

That's how pissed off I am.

But the tories have done what's called "kicking this into the long grass" I think.

I think they thought they could easily get social justice brownie points, and appeal to the young vote, without actually having to spend any money - and hadn't actually thought it through.

LangCleg · 19/03/2018 14:58

I think they've got bigger fish to fry at the moment. Apparently half of Labour HQ is resigning now they've made Jenny Formby Gen Sec.

It's all a bit of a disaster.

AssignedPuuurfectAtBirth · 19/03/2018 15:00

Me too Terf and I'm going to tell my Tory MP in a marginal seat just that.

Where I am, he is in more danger from SNP than Labour, as the SNP have been given a kicking. Won't vote for them either.

It keeps going back to a loss of centre. If only the Lib Dems would do what they say they are on the tin or Labour moved over to the centre.

I am part way through a book Witchcraft by Malcolm Gaskill, he covers witch trails, religion and politics. We have not only lost the centre ground in politics, we have lost Christianity it's being replaced by other faiths like transology. We have men not trusting women old as time and a new type of "woman" on the scene, so the first double witch hunt in history.

DarthArts · 19/03/2018 16:13

Indeed lang

This is just some of the announcements today - I couldn't screen shot them all in one photo.

All very senior, experienced party officials.

At this rate the LP will be losing more people than the Trump administration...

To think that Labour thinks women are fecking eejits
GabeIsShocking · 19/03/2018 16:24

The time looks right for Mayday4women to trigger their mass resignation too. We were told we would have a decision today, yet women are fobbed off.

LangCleg · 19/03/2018 16:29

DarthArts - imagine if the Labour HQ operation gets any more ham fisted than it already is!

DarthArts · 19/03/2018 17:57

Lang agghhh I'm shuddering!!!

Honestly though, the reaction to the news from the JC faithful is simply one of glee...out with the Blairite faction etc etc

Absolutely no sense of how much of a hole this is putting in the party administration. Sigh..

LangCleg · 19/03/2018 18:09

Absolutely no sense of how much of a hole this is putting in the party administration.

Nope. Like 'em or not, decades of politicking experience has been lost in a single day. And the incomers have not exactly covered themselves in competence glory, even if you do like their politics.

I'm honestly glad I left.

CertainHalfDesertedStreets · 19/03/2018 18:12

Hmmmmmm. Who is the biggest a hole in the party administration?...

Terftastic · 19/03/2018 20:14

I'm not au fait with those leaving Labour members. Are they "Blairites" or whatever? Some LP members seem to be cheering on the Party losing Blairites.

Just like Lily when Lily & cronies cheered on losing "transphobes" - as I said to Lily on Twitter, shortly before Lily blocked me, I've never known a party who wanted to lose votes.

Lily, and certain others, seem to think the Labour Party is some sort of vehicle for their own ideology.

LangCleg · 19/03/2018 20:24

The Tories have rolled back on this and are now saying in TV interviews and letters to constituents that they won't be amending the EA.

Sorry, I missed this earlier. Yes. Amber Rudd said it on Marr and several MNers have posted replies from their MPs saying the same thing (one with reference to a minister).

CorbynTrouserPress · 19/03/2018 21:31

Lily's default pattern seems to be that they are alienated within whatever setting they are in and they then attack. Family, school and now the gay community. They'll be causing no end of trouble for Labour...

Trumpdump · 19/03/2018 23:17

I Think they will just remove AWS and hope that that shuts everyone up... it won't though!
