WELL DONE. Can someone please comment and link to the petition?

JaimesGoldenHand · 18/03/2018 07:49

I registered with the fail to comment

LittleLebowski · 18/03/2018 07:53

swearyg Your friend's attitude seems to be a common one. What you have done shows what the logical conclusion of self-ID is and how this is a risk to women and girls, they must see that surely?
I have commented on your Tweet (my first one, I still don't understand bloody Twitter and I'm crap at it but I think there needs to be more gender-crit voices counteracting the bullshit so I'm trying.)

Mner · 18/03/2018 07:53

Well done to both of you. So brave!

EllieMe · 18/03/2018 07:54

Very well done to her!

SwearyG · 18/03/2018 07:58

@LittleLebowski I’m new at Twitter too. The trans-madness made me join around a month ago. It’s a bit of a bunfight at times but very useful for seeing articles and opinion pieces on this stuff.

Testingnamechange1 · 18/03/2018 08:00

Could you link or PM the leaflets you used?

ItsASairFecht · 18/03/2018 08:00

You'll be lucky if your comments get through moderation on the DM..the moderation is bonkers. I got put on some kind of black list and couldn't get any comment, however innocuous, through for a long time because I pointed out on an article about hatred that they had allowed a comment threatening to rape someone to get through.

Sweary
Well done to you and YesItsADebate. Great your dh was with you. 👍👍

StickStickStickStick · 18/03/2018 08:06

Well done.

I still worry that the message won't get through to people as people don't really see it... or won't until it's too late.

So so impressed at those doing this. Well done.

IndominusRex · 18/03/2018 08:07

LOVE THIS SO MUCH!!!!!

SwearyG · 18/03/2018 08:07

DH came to look after me as I have horrific anxiety, which is what makes this more important for me and why I have to stand up for women's rights. He also filled me with gin afterwards Grin

0ccamsRazor · 18/03/2018 08:10

Yay women, you ROCK!

if it's already posted, sorry.

SonicVersusGynaephobia · 18/03/2018 08:20

Very well done to both of you!

I've commented on the mail article, but it's not getting through.

I did it under my correct name and location, because I'm getting braver and I'm speaking out more IRL.

Only a dozen people have signed the petition in my constituency, I wish I knew them and we could do something like this!

Datun · 18/03/2018 08:20

DH came to look after me as I have horrific anxiety, which is what makes this more important for me and why

Exactly.

The Daily Mail commentors may not get it yet. But they will.

This is consciousness raising.

SwearyG well done.

For the people who are worried it may backfire. I understand why you think that, and you might have a point.

But doing nothing will achieve exactly that.

This way, the issue might start to spread to the general public.

Most of them honestly do not know any of this.

TerfyMcTerface · 18/03/2018 08:22

The Fail won't publish any gender critical comments. I've tried to comment on numerous articles, but they always moderate comments on trans issues and mine have never got past their mods.

BingBongSong · 18/03/2018 08:24

Well done and thank you to you both.

treaclesoda · 18/03/2018 08:24

Does the press complaints commission cover stuff like the comments section as well as the actual article? Because refusing to allow gender critical comments is pretty seriously misleading in its own way.

KERALA1 · 18/03/2018 08:24

Oh well done! Awareness needs to be raised on this issue and stunts like this the only way to do that

TerfsUp · 18/03/2018 08:25

Amy and Hannah, you are stars! Thank you so much for doing this.

And I love the quote "‘This case demonstrates that women may enter men’s spaces, just as men may enter women’s spaces". It makes nonsense of "men's" and "women's" spaces.

NotTerfNorCis · 18/03/2018 08:31

Disappointing that the Mail commentators are not getting it. One even asked 'what if a man did this in the women's pool?' No clue.
