The worst part of all this fur me is that I am genuinely OK with trans women being “women” - most of this stuff (touches wood) does not affect me. I don’t care what your name is, what you look like or indeed what’s in your underwear for myself.
But I care very much about language, definition, legalities and biological realities.
It is not transphobic to say teenagers get confused about sexuality, experiment with identities and sex, and I don’t fancy any child of mine caught in an unwanted pregnancy caused by a trans person sharing overnight accommodation in a single “gender” environment. And that is getting very close to a reality.
